8-bedroom castle with private pool, Chateau De Rochebonne

Château de Rochebonne offers a truly unique experience within the estate. When you book it, you have the château and its gardens entirely to yourselves—completely private for the duration of your stay. It features 8 bedrooms, 4 bathrooms, and a private heated swimming pool with complete seclusion. This is our ideal offering for large families, reunions with friends, milestone birthdays, and weddings.

The interior features a grand entrance hall with a stone staircase, a large living and dining room for entertaining, and a second, more intimate living room on the top floor. There is also a library and a games room with a ping-pong table. The kitchen is fully equipped for cooking for several people (dishwasher, oven, hob, microwave, washing machine, 3 fridges, 3 freezers) and there is a utility room for additional storage. Free Wi-Fi throughout the castle, satellite TV in the lounges.

The 8 bedrooms are spread over two floors, most with king-size beds and adaptable configurations. In total, the castle can comfortably accommodate 15 to 20 people (beds are adjusted according to your group).

Outside, your private heated pool — fenced, secure and not overlooked. The large barbecue, garden furniture, sandbox, swings, tennis and badminton nets. The castle is in a private walled estate, separate from the rest of the Domaine de Rochebonne — you are completely at home.

Practical information: bakery 800m away, butcher 1.4km away, village restaurants a 5-minute walk. Beaches a 10-minute drive, bridge to Île d'Oléron 8km away, Royan 24km away, La Rochelle 55km away. Johanna and I live next door, we'll personally welcome you, show you around, and be available throughout your stay. Late check-out is possible upon request.
