Birdie`s Bungalow on Fripp/Cards Avail/Golf Cart

I am happy to share my second home with you. You will have the entire place to yourself. We provide a 4-seat golf cart, boogie boards, beach chairs and umbrella. Amenity cards are available for purchase to Fripp Island Resort, which give you access to golf (you can see the 16th tee box through the window), swimming pools, restaurants on the island, tennis, pickleball and much more. There is also plenty to enjoy without the cards: beach, biking, watching wildlife, etc!

Fully updated/remodeled two story home stocked with all the supplies and amenities you need to enjoy a worry-free vacation. King size bed upstairs in the huge master suite. Adjustable base bed next to bunk beds in one of the downstairs bedrooms and a Queen bed in the third bedroom.

You will received a QR code which will allow you to enter through the Fripp Island gate. Also, I will provide a code to the lockbox. The entire home is yours to enjoy, with the exception of a couple of locked closets.

We are available at all times via the app, text or phone to answer questions or resolve any issues that may pop up, and we take pride in responding quickly to ensure a stress-free experience for our guests. Our maintenance and cleaning crew are nearby to respond quickly to any needs.

We are sandwiched between the Ocean Point Golf Course and the Ocean! Walk, drive bike or cart around our beautiful neighborhood with gorgeous views and vibrant wildlife. Take a hike on a nearby trail, or hit the beach from one of 30+ beach accesses. Head to the beach club (amenity cards required) for cocktails, food, pool, fitness center, tennis or pickle ball. Or book your tee time on one of two manicured and scenic golf courses. Catch some fresh seafood for dinner, and don’t forget to take the kids to the activity center and make a stop at Hunting Island State Park (pass included). Some facilities are open seasonally on Fripp and Hunting Islands.

We provide a golf cart for cruising the island. There’s plenty of cart parking at the beach access points. You can also get around the island easily by car. Car parking is available at the Marina, Ocean Point GC, the Beach Club, Tennis Club, Wardle Point, Ocean Creek GC, and the shops at Springtide Market. Many people choose to rent bikes for getting around the island, and it’s also a beautiful walk on well maintained sidewalks and nature trails.
By reserving the property, you are agreeing to the Golf Cart User Agreement, and this agreement must be accepted prior to gaining access to or using the golf cart on property. When purchasing optional Fripp Island Resort access and amenity cards, you are agreeing to abide by all Fripp Island Resort rules, regulations, and policies.

GOLF CART USER AGREEMENT:
Birdie’s Bungalow is a real property located on Fripp Island, SC 29920 and advertised in this rental listing.
Birdie’s Bungalow representatives may be an ‘Owner’, ‘Property Manager’, ‘Host’, ‘Co-
Host’ or other expressly designated person(s) acting on behalf of Birdie’s Bungalow and
“Blue Bird”. “Blue Bird” is the golf cart provided expressly for use by named and
registered guests of Birdie’s Bungalow during their active reservation at Birdie’s
Bungalow. Access to and use of Blue Bird are contingent upon providing this signed
agreement, or written acceptance to a Birdie’s Bungalow representative in advance of the reservation arrival
date at Birdie’s Bungalow. A signed Golf Cart Use Agreement must be received for each
unique reservation or booking. An executed Golf Cart Use Agreement does not
guarantee access to or availability of a golf cart, as the golf cart is provided as an added
amenity of the real property at no additional cost to the guest or renter.
I agree to the following conditions. In the event that I violate any of the following
conditions, I agree and understand that I will be charged for any damages and/or
prohibited from future rentals from Birdie’s Bungalow.
• I promise to return the golf cart affectionately named “Blue Bird” to Birdie’s
Bungalow in as good condition as I received. I will operate the golf cart safely and
responsibly, and I will preserve and protect the golf cart from loss or damage to
the cart itself, my person or property, and the persons or property of others. I
agree to be legally and financially liable for all costs of repairs to the golf cart, and
for the loss, damage and/or injuries to my person or property and the persons or
property of others regardless of fault.
• I understand that in an event the golf cart is damaged there will be charges
applied to the credit card provided by the customer at the time of reservation
thru AirBnB/VRBO/Fripp Island Stay money request. For larger damages or
repairs, you may want to file a claim with your Homeowners or Auto insurance.
Also, there is a $50.00 charge for lost key provided for the rented golf cart.
Since this is an electric cart, there must be enough charge to drive the cart back
to Birdie’s Bungalow. Failure to re-charge the batteries will result in charges of a
$35 recharge fee.
• I agree to hold harmless, defend and indemnify Birdie’s Bungalow, and their
representatives and agents of the golf cart and the vacation rental property for
any and all damages and claims of any nature whatsoever that may arise from
the use of the golf cart itself. This includes but is not limited to injury, death, or
damage involving my person and property and the persons and property of
others, including those not within my party.
• I agree to become familiar with the operation and use of “Blue Bird” golf cart,
and any other instructions provided to me regarding the cart, and to operate the
golf cart in accordance with said instructions. I agree to drive (in allowed areas)
and park the cart (in allowed areas) in accordance with said instructions. I agree
to contact Birdie’s Bungalow representatives, if I have any questions or concerns
about operating the golf cart or if my guest or I have caused any damage to the
golf cart or others through the use of the golf cart. I agree to examine and
inspect the safety and mechanical condition of the golf cart, reporting any
concerns or problems before driving the vehicle.
• I understand that a golf cart is subject to the same laws and regulations
pertaining to motor vehicles and therefore agree that the golf cart will be
operated in accordance with the laws of the State of South Carolina, including but not limited
to the requirement that persons driving the golf cart must not be under the influence of
alcohol and/or illegal drugs. I further agree that I personally will be responsible for all moving
and/or parking violations issued to said cart while it is in my possession, under my control, or
at any time during the rental period.
• I agree that only persons who are 18 years or older and possess a valid driver’s license
shall be permitted to drive the golf cart. I further agree that the maximum occupancy of the
golf cart is the number of available seats – 4 -- (no standing on the fender or in the back
bag well).
• I understand that Fripp Island is a golf cart friendly island with its own security force and the
security will contact us immediately in the event that they see the golf cart is being used
inappropriately. If it’s determined that guests are using the cart inappropriately, Birdie’s
Bungalow has the right to immediately cancel the room rental, in addition to cart rental and
no refunds will be given.
• I understand that this golf cart is not permitted to be driven on the golf courses as it is not
licenses to do so.
• I understand the golf cart will be returned to Birdie’s Bungalow, with no tape, adhesive,
decorations, balloons, streamers, sand, etc. The cart should be generally clean (free of
trash, not covered in mud or sand). If the cart is not returned clean, there will be a $50.00
cleaning charge. A broom/brush is provided on the property for cleanup as needed.
• I understand that before checkout the golf cart must be plugged in, and the weatherproof cover
must be securely on the cart.
• The cart needs between 9-14hrs for a full charge. A fully charged battery should provide
about 20 to 30 miles of drive, err on the side of caution when deciding on the distance. It is
highly recommended that whenever the cart is not in use, it is plugged in to charge. There
is a battery gauge on the cart to keep you informed on battery level.
• I understand that if the golf cart should be inoperable through no fault of mine, I will
contact, Birdie’s Bungalow Representatives, the day of this occurring, as Birdie’s
Bungalow, will take reasonable steps to have the vehicle repaired as soon as it is possible
to do so. I understand that a replacement or loaner golf cart may or may not be available.
• I understand that I cannot drive the golf cart through standing water or splash through any
puddles as this can damage electronic parts, lithium batteries, and onboard chargers
and may result in a total loss of the golf cart.
• I understand that I need to protect the golf cart’s modern electronics by securing the
provided weatherproof golf cart cover during inclement weather conditions including but
not limited to rain.
• Security Deposit (if taken) will be returned per Airbnb/VRBO/Fripp Island Stay terms and conditions
as long there are no issues as stated above.
• I will provide a copy of my Driver’s license and proof of insurance prior to starting to drive the
golf cart.
By booking/reserving the property you are agreeing to these terms.


FRIPP ISLAND RESORT RULES AND POLICIES:
If you purchase optional resort access and amenity cards, you agree to abide by all rules and restrictions of Fripp Island Resort. Any fees or penalties placed on the property owners/resort members as a result of rules violations by your party will be billed back to you as the responsible party.
