Hideaway of Rotorua | Easy-Access Triple Studio, Feed Alpacas on Large Lawns

Wake up to alpacas at Hideaway of Rotorua — a peaceful garden retreat where you can slow down, enjoy the open space and experience a different side of Rotorua.

Set across approximately 14,000 square metres (1.4 hectares) of expansive lawns and gardens, our hideaway is home to friendly alpacas that guests are welcome to meet and feed. We provide one complimentary bag of alpaca treats with each room, making it a memorable experience for both children and adults.

Our newly built Easy-Access Triple Studio Apartment is a private, fully self-contained, open-plan stay for up to three guests. It is normally arranged with one king bed and one separate single bed. With advance notice, the king bed can be split into two singles, providing a three-single-bed configuration. Please let us know your preferred bed arrangement before arrival.

Inside, you’ll find a fully equipped private kitchen — not a kitchenette — with a stovetop, microwave, refrigerator, kettle and toaster. The studio also includes a dining and work area, Smart TV, free high-speed Wi-Fi, air conditioning and heating.

The studio has its own private, lockable entrance, private patio and free dedicated parking close to the entrance. The spacious private bathroom has been designed for easier access, with a walk-in shower, fold-down shower seat and grab rails. It offers the same modern, comfortable stay as our other Triple Studios, with a bathroom layout that allows easier movement and access.

Step outside and enjoy the real Hideaway experience. Relax on your private patio, wander across the large lawns, let the children enjoy the playground, or spend some time meeting and feeding the alpacas. The entire studio and patio are yours to enjoy privately, while the lawns, gardens, playground and alpaca area are shared with other Hideaway guests.

A shared guest laundry room with washing machines, dryers, an iron and ironing board is available on site for a small charge. These facilities are located in a separate laundry room and are not inside the studio. We also have an on-site reception, so help is nearby whenever you need it.

Hideaway of Rotorua feels peaceful and tucked away, yet Skyline Rotorua, Agrodome, ZORB, Mitai Māori Village and central Rotorua are all within easy driving distance. It is a comfortable and convenient base for exploring Rotorua, with far more space and character than a typical room-only stay.
