„This cottage has a really nice vibe very clean and ideally situated for visiting Thirsk and the local communities. The market square is a few short steps away The railway station is a pleasant 30 minutes walk away, but it does have a bus service if the weather is not too good The cottage is spread over 3 storeys and is modern kitchen and bathroom on the ground floor and sitting/living room is 1st floor and bedroom top floor. „The property was warm and spacious. The bed was comfortable and there are 2 nice bathrooms. The welcome pack was greatly appreciated. We would happily return. There is plenty to do locally. We particularly enjoyed the gardens at RHS Harlow Carr, the Jorvik Viking Centre, Fountains Abbey and a walk along Wharfedale to Bolton Abbey. For history buffs a guided walk of the battlefield at Towton was fascinating.“

„Very helpful, we were going to be later than anticipated arriving, phoned to let them know, they reassured us it was no problem, everything was ready for our stay. Check-in at the bar was easy, staff showed us to our studio, staff very cheerful. Food in the pub was great, not just pub grub. Only downside, studio was small.“

„Very friendly reception from the landlord Gareth who provided a most enlivening atmosphere in the Duke of Wellington ie a darts match for the men and Easter wreath making for the ladies. No food unfortunately but we found an excellent Italian restaurant in nearby Northallerton. The courtyard room was clean and comfortable, marred only by a very awkward shower - not easy to enter, due to lack of space.“
