„Were it not for a hurricane, the grounds around the main house would be beautiful. The owner/operator family, like other victims, is building back as quickly as possible. The interim condition of the exterior shows what they went through. The unaffected main house and our guest room were well-appointed and very attentive. The breakfast buffet provided to all their guests was extraordinary extravagant, as delicious and varied as you’ll find anywhere! A true 5-star experience.“

„Communication with the host was amazing. Jake’s Cabin is the perfect getaway spot to relax and enjoy nature. We enjoyed sitting on the covered porch every morning drinking our coffee and listening to the peaceful sound of the small creek on property. We explored the nearby towns and highly recommend future visitors explore Elizabethton. We also enjoyed the fireplace one evening as it was a bit chilly out in the evenings. Would stay here again without hesitation. “

„It was super beautiful and peaceful there! We enjoyed hiking in Carver’s Gap and Roan Mountain with our 3 pups. Plus fishing in the river. We very much enjoyed the cabin. I will say if you are a cast iron person like myself to cook, bring your own. But decent dish-ware and enough to make meals. My only complaint is the drip pans need to be changed on the stove because they are black almost. Otherwise no complaints and perfect place to get away. We plan to possibly make this an annual trip. “

„One of the main reasons I selected this property was because of the higher elevation. I booked this stay months in advance so I wanted to give my family the best chance to see snow while we were in the mountains. The Mountain House did not disappoint! We got some fantastic views of the mountains and valley along with the incoming weather and even managed to enjoy a few inches of snow. Definitely a property we would visit again!
