„Stayed 3 nights. Be careful driving on the single track lane towards hotel as there are many potholes. We had room 25 on arrival and asked to be moved due to a vent flowing outside our room. Moved to another room. The bedside light was hanging off and we had no electricity. Moved to another room which was great. The receptionist was very helpful and sorted our needs. Bed is comfortable. „Der Empfang war etwas seltsam. Bar Mitarbeiter und Mitarbeiter beim Frühstück waren aber stets sehr freundlich und nett,die Enttäuschung beim Check in war leider größer. Zimmer hätten gepflegter sein können,das Bad war schon etwas älter und Fliesen lose, die Ablage beim Waschbecken war sehr ungepflegt. Aussicht und Umgebung war aber sehr ruhig und angenehm. Das Hotel befindet sich sehr abgelegen. Spa haben wir leider nicht benutzt, wussten nicht ob wir da auch auch halbherzig begrüßt werden ...

"I expect more from a 4 star hotel. The room was lovely and spacious however confetti which was all over the grounds was also in our room. There are 3 lifts one is staff only, one is out of order which according to a frequent guest has been the case for 2 years!! Then they serviced the 3rd lift, leaving my 84 year old parents to negotiate very old wonky stairs, not ideal! We ate in the bar one night because i have my dog with me and the area seemed dated and unloved. The food was nice if served in a lack luster way. Again with breakfast the food was great but I can't imagine sitting in the bar to eat, the buffet is so far away my food would have been cold before I got to the table!! So we took it in turn to eat so one of us could stay with the dog. There is a small area to the left as you enter which could be used as a dog friendly area.... well away from the buffet, I see that often in other restaurants and hotels! The spa area was very pleasant and a welcome break to relax on our long journey. Also the location and grounds were lovely, sitting on the terrace in the early morning sun and quiet was also a highlight. In summary dated and unloved but a perfectly quiet and relaxing break from a long journey."
