A safe and family-friendly neighborhood conveniently located to major roads, two train stations (Main Street Station and Staples Mill Road), Richmond International Airport, Grocery (Publix, Whole Foods, and Trader Joes) shopping (Stony Point, Short Pump, Strawberry Street, Carytown, Libbie and Grove) and too many restaurants and breweries to list here! Make yourself at home in Comanche House! A home designed for entertaining and creating memories with friends and family. Our open central kitchen/dining/lounge floorplan is complemented by a semiprivate sunroom, attic loft, and den to provide multiple spaces to unwind and relax. The outdoor entertainment area takes full advantage of the large backyard, 6-foot privacy fence, and mature trees when grilling out on the luxury propane outdoor kitchen or enjoying the gas firepit. The kitchen has been thoughtfully designed with a gas oven/range, double work-triangle, and two sinks with a large refrigerator and soapstone countertops to accommodate multiple cooks. The massive central 9-foot island and lounge area keep you connected with guests when preparing dinner parties and brunch. The home boasts 3.5 bathrooms spread over three floors to provide adequate space to get ready for corporate events, weddings, graduations, and whatever else life has to offer.

Beautiful Home

Our family spent Thanksgiving weekend at this home while in town for a field hockey showcase at the River City Sportsplex. It was perfect location in a great neighborhood. The home was very clean, well-stocked, and communication with the owners was very smooth. Highly recommend!

Family gathering for tournament

The house was so easy to stay in. Very easy check in, super clean property. The owners were easy to communicate with and made sure our stay went well. The neighborhood is nice and very quiet. The house was so nicely decorated and comfortable at the same time. We were minutes away from University of Richmond where the tournament was held. Would definitely stay there again. Wedding Weekend and Family Reunion

The property was absolutely stunning! We had 10 adults and still had room for more. The house and yard are well loved, and we spent plenty of time between events enjoying the fire pit and back yard. A mere 1 mile away was the Pony Pasture with stunning views of the James River and all the fishing and river walk you could imagine. Perfect location for the wedding and I would stay there again in a heartbeat.

Celebrating college graduation

This home was ideal for our celebration of our son’s completion of his VCU theater arts degree. Our family gathered for an extended weekend. Each set of grandparents had a suite with queen bed and connected bathroom with shower - the attic suite and the master suite. My college daughters shared the bedroom with 2 queen beds. And my wife and I stayed in the double bedroom. We shared a full bathroom with tub/shower off hallway. My teenage sons stayed in the basement family room with large tv and half bathroom. Everyone one had plenty of separate sleeping space in this 4-level split level home. Most of our waking time was spent together on the main level with beautiful open floor plan with gourmet kitchen, living room, dining room and bright sun room connected by a sliding barn door.

Amazing Home...Amazing Hosts

As the review title says, this is a perfect home with *super* responsive and caring hosts. The home is stunning and well-appointed. The backyard is spectacular with an amazing bbq grill and fire pit. The neighborhood is very peaceful and quiet. And the hosts are beyond incredible. They were super responsive to every request. This is beyond a five-star stay. This is our second stay at this home and we plan on staying here whenever we are in Richmond. Thank you Meghan and William!

Family Gathering

Fabulous stay—beautiful and well-equipped house in a great location, walking distance from Pony Pasture. The house easily accommodated our extended family—grandparents, siblings + spouses, and four cousins ages 7 - 15. The hosts were lovely and incredibly responsive—a minor hardware issue was immediately addressed by a wonderfully kind handyman who left us his contact information if we needed anything else. The sunroom was by far our favorite gathering spot—we had the benefit of great weather and thoroughly enjoyed the grill and patio area while the kids played catch in the beautifully maintained yard. I would book it again in a heartbeat.

One of best VRBOs I've used!

We needed a house with enough room for sleeping and gathering, as we were in town for my dad's funeral. This house (and the location) were perfect for our needs. I have never seen a better stocked VRBO. We felt at home immediately. So lovingly renovated! We realized within minutes that (added bonus) this was the same floor plan my dad grew up in! His siter remarked "Now I know what Mom and Dad could've done with their house!" Any little glitches we had were quickly addressed by William and Meghan. Not only do we hope to stay here again, but the family that visited us said admiringly tat they will keep it in mind for others visiting the area!

Beautiful home with easy access to everything

We were a party of 5 adults and 2 small dogs in town for a family reunion. The house was immaculate and very comfortable, with plenty of room for everyone. We spent most of our time in the sunroom, where we could keep track of the dogs roaming the fenced-in back yard. Although we primarily ate out, we cooked breakfast each morning in the well-equipped kitchen – the gas range, refrigerator and dishwasher all appeared new. There is also a very nice gas grill in the backyard, where we grilled burgers and hotdogs one evening. William and Meghan were fantastic hosts, checking in with us from time to time over the VRBO app to see if we needed anything. The house is located in a quiet neighborhood with easy access to downtown Richmond. We played golf at Sycamore Creek golf course, took in a Richmond Flying Squirrels baseball game, played tennis at William Byrd Park, and shopped in Short Pump. We had also hoped to go tubing down the James River and visit the Science Museum, but ran out of time! We had a fantastic stay!
