„A great atmosphere at the Tan Hill, a good crowd was in on the night that we visited. The dinner was very good and the breakfast excellent. Our room was great with a good view out over the moors. If we're ever up that way we'll definitely stay again.“

„Great Hotel and loved the stay there. Fantastic food and a great location. Room 1 in which we stayed was however directly above the bar. It was possible to hear everything, and it was only possible to sleep once the bar closed. “

„This was a great place to stay. Fantastic views of Richmond and the surrounding country side and the same time an easy walk into the centre. Very dog friendly and good dog walks from the doorstep. Bedrooms were big and everything very clean and in good condition. Food really well cooked. “

„Generally very good stay. Landlady made me feel at home and lent me a parking disc which gave me free parking until 10.00am the next morning. Very nice cooked breakfast with cereal and proper coffee. Only small issue was that the curtains let in more street lamp light than I'm used to. Blackout curtains would have been ideal.“

„I don't know where to start I wish we were staying longer. From arriving, being settling in, the meals, the service, the locals, the surrounding area, was just all perfect. We will definitely be returning in the future when we in the area again, very gutted it is so far from our home otherwise it went would be visiting more often. “

„Really perfect for our trip to Durham. Within walking distance of the university. Very clean and comfortable. We got a warm welcome from all the staff, and the dining room was a good place to get work done--even had charging at the booth.“
