„We had a lovely stay at The Old Barn, it’s well equipped, quiet and dog friendly. The parking worked well, we have a 4x4 and a tow bar mounted bike rack. We also appreciated having a secure shed for our bikes. The neighbours are friendly and made us feel welcome, we are planning to return to the cottage to explore the area further. My only comment is about recycling as we couldn’t find a recycling bin. But we did locate and use the local recycling facility, which is at The Reeth Dales Centre.“

„Beautifully clean cottage in an idyllic setting. The house was lovely and warm when we arrived, which was very much appreciated for a chilly weekend, as were the fresh milk and delicious biscuits. Fantastic walks all over, every one of which our dogs loved.The cottage had everything we needed. "Die Unterkunft ist wunderschön, das Personal ist sehr freundlich, das Essen sehr gut. Die Zimmer schön eingerichtet und sehr groß. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Für Paare ohne Kinder ist es sicherlich perfekt. Wenn man mit Kindern in den Ferien reist , sind die Zeiten des Schwimmbades leider relativ knapp und man ist nicht so flexibel wenn man die Umgebung erkunden möchte . Das ist aber nur ein kleiner Minuspunkt. Wir können es mit gutem Gewissen weiterempfehlen."

"Excellent value for money. The room was spacious with an exceptionally large bathroom including a jacuzzi bath and separate shower. Breakfast was good quality even if the options were limited. Staff were very accommodating and friendly. I would be happy to stay here again."
