„I loved being here and plan to go back soon. It's idyllic. Beautifully kept and presented; with very kind and professional staff. I didnt know what time the event I was attending nearby would end; and as soon as I came back they brought me a wonderful platter of fish and much more. Saying theyd rather I had it prepared freshly than keep it waiting.
Beside a river, in glorious, quiet countryside with the dramatic fells above; I can't wait to stay longer and explore the area. Can't recommend ...

„We loved our stay at mallard Lodge and would definitely recommend. The weather was awful but expected in January but it didn't stop the kids fun. Lots of places to see. Great walks. Was wonderful to return to a warm, cosy lodge and a relaxing dip in the hot tub. Not fantastic TV reception or WiFi but we were there to escape all that. Anything we needed help with, selina was only a call away. We are looking forward to visiting again. X“

„The lodge is beautiful and has everything you could possibly need.
The area is lovely and close to Kendal (about 16 miles).
The inside of the lodge is decorated lovely and well laid out, and the beds were super comfy.
The hot tub is under a covered deck area so could be used while raining which was a huge plus.
The property is pet friendly but if you have dogs like ours that tend to wander off then it is worth noting that there are no areas fenced off. For us this was not ideal.

„Every detail spot on. Beautiful furnishings, cosy environment with quality bedding, comfy beds and fluffy towels. Hot tub was amazing with great views. Home made cake and loaf with eggs and all essentials to get you started. Well equipped kitchen, fab showers and toiletries. Can’t fault in any way. Coming back soon.“
