  • Nestled in the clifftops overlooking family-friendly Lorenzen Bay, this secluded waterfront home has everything you could wish for in a Raglan retreat. Tastefully renovated, retaining lots of the home`s character & peaceful coastal vibe but with the benefit of modern conveniences. Instantly feel relaxed & rejuvenated as you enjoy uninterrupted harbour views and your very own private waterfront access.

    Sunshine Rise is a two-storey 1950`2, 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom property that can comfortably sleep 7 guests. With it`s unique layout with a fully self-contained unit under the main house, it is perfect for extended families or groups travelling together.

    Upstairs in the main house you will find 2 bedrooms, kitchen, living room, dining room and bathroom.
    Downstairs you will find the self-contained unit with the third bedroom, bathroom, kitchen, living room and its own outdoor area. This unit is access via an external staircase only.

    The north-facing location allows natural light to stream through the entire house for a bright, welcoming ambience and enhances the soft coastal palette. Both upstairs and downstairs benefit from fantastic in-door, outdoor flow and enjoy equally superb outdoor entertaining areas with priceless views.

    You’ll find 2 bedrooms upstairs: Bedroom 1 is furnished with a Super King bed and Bedroom 2 has a Bunk Bed set with a double underneath and single on top.
    The third bedroom in the downstairs unit has a Queen bed. The perfect night’s sleep is guaranteed with superior mattresses and high-quality, soft bed linens.

    Both levels have their own modern bathrooms. Upstairs with a shower only and downstairs has a shower over the bath.

    There are also two fully equipped kitchens to choose from, both with access to outdoor entertaining areas. You’ll find everything you could need to whip up a yummy brunch to kickstart the day’s adventures. Or enjoy a classic Kiwi barbie while soaking up the stunning sunsets.

    Two relaxing living rooms complete the flexible layout. Both have smart TVs, and heat pumps to make your stay as comfortable as possible. And there’s a separate laundry with a washer for easy holiday living.

    One of the highlights is the stunning harbour views that will take your breath away. Relax on the upstairs or downstairs deck with a good book and a steaming mug of coffee. Glass balustrades allow you to enjoy uninterrupted views of the beautiful bay.

    Meander down the totally private walkway through native bush to Lorenzen Bay. Take advantage of the easy access to a paddle, kayak or simply splashing around in Bay. And then enjoy a relaxed picnic in the shaded area next to the boatshed.

    Guest will have access to the entire property and outdoor areas including the picnic area at the front of the property leading onto Lorenzen Bay.

    Sunshine Rise is in the ideal location to enjoy all that Raglan has to offer. Picturesque Lorenzen Bay is just a stone’s throw away for kayaking, safe, sheltered swimming and family fun.

    The township is only a five-minute drive to grab supplies, barista coffee or an ice-cream treat. And why not try out one of the local eateries with plenty of delicious options to choose from.

    Raglan has something for everyone. And this home is ideally located to explore the local area.

    Surfers will love the big waves at world-famous Manu Bay. Nearby Cox Bay and Lorenzen Bay are great spots for swimming, kayaking and body boarding or just relaxing in the sunshine. You may even get lucky and spot one of the orcas that regularly come to visit the bays.

    Also on offer in Raglan is fantastic bushwalking, golf, mini putt and, of course, plenty of fishing.

    The vibrant café and arts scene in Raglan township is just a short drive away. There’s a wealth of delicious dining options to choose from, along with specialist arts and crafts shops to explore. Also within easy reach are the supermarket and shopping facilities.

    Do as much or as little as you want – the choice is yours. Raglan is a fantastic holiday destination any time of year.

    The house is located down a long driveway and has off street parking for two cars only. If you have more than two vehicles, please let us know so we can advise you of the best parking location.

    Please note that the downstairs unit with the third bedroom is accessed via an external walkway and steps only. There is no internal access between the 2 floors.

    The property dates back to the 1950`s - it has been renovated since with modern bathrooms and kitchen and is well maintained but does have quirks due to the age of the property.

    This house has a 3pm check in time. If the house is ready earlier, we will happily message you and let you know on the day.

    All linen and towels are included in the nightly rate.

    Guest stays longer than 5 nights will be provided with additional bathroom linen for use during your stay.

    For reservations longer than 10 days, on request, additional bed linen can be provided for you to change at your convenience. Our team will collect any dirty linen at a mutually agreed time.

    All reservations include an end of stay cleaning fee. Sufficient cleaning products and equipment will be available at the property for use during your stay should you need it. We do not offer mid-stay cleaning services unless this has been pre-arranged at the time of booking and we have capacity in our cleaning schedule to book this in. All additional cleaning services including mid-stay bed making will incur additional costs.
    We have a zero tolerance for unauthorised parties or events and you will be asked to vacate the property if there is reason for us to suspect guest misconduct.

    Rubbish - an allowance has been made for 1x full blue rubbish bag. Additional rubbish must be taken with you or dropped at a local refuse disposal station (details in house info folder) or an additional charge of $25 per bag will be applied for disposal.

    Recycling - an allowance for 1x full recycling bin has been made per stay. Additional recycling must be taken with you or an additional charge of $25 per box will be applied for disposal.

    Electric Vehicle Charging- We are unable to accommodate electrical vehicle charging at the property, there is a fast charging station location around the town hall on Bow Street.

    Any personal belongings left behind have a minimum $20 return fee + courier bag/packaging cost (regardless of size). This is to cover travel and time to the post office + administration for the return payment.

    Strictly no smoking indoors. If you smoke outdoors, please do so responsibly and remove butts from the property on departure.

    No more than the number of guests booked, to a maximum of 7. Additional charges will apply if you exceed the number booked.

    Residential area - Noise curfew from 10pm to 9am.

    Events are not allowed without prior arrangement. This includes birthday parties, hens/stag doos and wedding celebrations.

    A BBQ is available for use during your stay. Please clean with the appropriate supplied cleaner after use. We reserve the right to charge for additional cleaning if the BBQ is found dirty.
