„I booked my stay at this hotel through Expedia. When I checked in I was told that I hadn’t prepaid through Expedia. Because I was tired after a long day, I paid as requested by the hotel . Through Expedia I requested this double payment to be returned. Over a week later I’m still waiting.“

„A very satisfied stay at the Hawksmoor Guest House. The staff were very welcoming and friendly throughout our stay. Breakfast was amazing and cooked from scratch. Our room was available earlier than stated and was very clean and comfortable. The location was great too, just a 15 minute walk to the town and Lake Windermere. Richard is a right bloke, would loved to have stayed up talking to him at the bar but after walking the local fells went to relax in the brilliant room. The hosts put their heart & soul into making everything perfect. We would certainly return. “

„Juli 2014. Colin und Mandy sind überaus freundliche Gastgeber, Zimmer (Nr. 3) war ausreichend groß und gut ausgestattet (Kaffee/Teebereiter, TV, Fön...), das Bett bequem, das Bad klein. Alles war sauber. Es sind nur wenige Gehminuten bis in den belebten Ortskern, das B&B liegt aber absolut ruhig. Es hat keinen Garten, in dem man sich ggfs. aufhalten könnte. Die Zimmer haben keinen Balkon. Das Frühstück war üppig und lecker, vom Obstsalat (viele Beeren) über das Cooked Breakfast bis zum ...

„It was refreshing to stay somewhere with such individuality rather than the usual chain hotels. Beautifully furnished throughout, with fabulous attention to detail, so much to look at. Breakfast was excellent, a good range of continental and cooked choices, with local ingredients. Slightly outside the village, they provided a chauffeur service to and from any of the restaurants in the evening in their electric Mercedes minibus.
