For the most part we were very happy with our stay at Paradisus Grand Cana. A coupe of things would have more positively influenced my review, however. Food: the first couple of days were surprisingly disappointing. I was concerned it would continue that way (bland, unseasoned food and a lack of tropical fruit). However it suddenly improved and we were not unsatisfied for the rest of the trip. Rooms: of all things I think this was the best part of the trip - spacious, clean and well lit. Apart from sporadic water bottle delivery (which should be improved) we were very comfortable. I would recommend changing the mattress on the sofa bed, which was very thin and bumpy (we had to get rollaway beds for the kids)
Service: the actions of a few can influence the overall experience. We met several employees who were excellent (courteous, thoughtful and kind) but there were inconsistencies. From the sullen towel delivery to dishes that piled up on the dining tables, there could definitely have been more close attention to service, particularly within a 5-star rated resort.
One big thing that can be improved -
