„Friendly staff, rooms clean, comfy beds, bathroom spotless, nice food , outside area ( tables) could do with a bit of a spruce“

„Für 1-2 Nächte völlig ausreichend und gemütlich. Leider nur kein richtiges Fenster in unserm Zimmer zum raus schauen.“

„The Calfs Head is a charming country hotel. We ate in the conservatory which was lovely. The food was good but the desserts were excellent. The staff were delightful and the ambience was very comfortable.“

„Had a great stay. Staff were wonderful. Meals in the restaurant were the best I’ve had out for a long time. I’d travel the hour just for the food. Rooms were basic but clean and comfortable. It would have been flawless if there was an 2nd pillow and the door from the stairs entry didn’t bang so loundly when people walked through. Both an easy fix. Would definitely recommend“

„Friendly staff. Upon arrival, there isn’t a person permanently at the check-in desk…not really a problem, but if there was a sign directing newcomers to the bar for assistance, that would help. We arrived Saturday lunch time, they had a party of 40 in, but fitted us in and it was delicious! staff attentive and it arrived quickly so all good, so I am very sad ( and surprised ) to say breakfast was poor ! we didn't opt for the buffet and cooked ,rather just the cooked, it took ages to appear ...

„We stayed for two nights and while the room could best be described as adequate, the public areas are spacious, clean and well-decorated. There’s a large car park; the food’s delicious and the staff are friendly, helpful and very welcoming. Although the room was small and a bit dingy, we’d stay again simply because the people are so nice.“
