My friend and I booked a stay at a property to visit Virginia Beach. Upon check-in, we were given Room 228, which was dirty and not cleaned from the previous guests. The front desk offered us Room 203 after I showed her the issue, but it had a malfunctioning AC. Also, there was a poop in the toilet bowl in the bathroom. I requested a refund so we can leave since we cannot stay on that kind of place, but the front desk told me to contact Expedia. After speaking with Expedia, they claimed the front desk said we were just leaving because we didn't like the room, so they wouldn’t process a refund. The front desk staff was unhelpful and rude, ultimately asking us to leave without resolving the issues. We opted to leave, sent evidence to Expedia, and received our refund. We stayed at the Quality Inn instead and will never book Super 8 again.
