Luxury Family Villa on Penina Golf – Heated Pool & Sauna

Fully renovated in 2022, Casa dos Arcos is a classic Algarve villa set right on the Penina championship golf course — once the home of the Penina hotel's founder. With five bedrooms, a large fenced garden, and a heated salt-water pool with wide shallow steps, it's built for relaxed family holidays where children can play safely and everyone has room to spread out.

Inside there's central heating and air conditioning in every room, a fireplace, a fully equipped open kitchen, and plenty to keep all ages happy — table tennis, mini football and tennis, video games and board games. A travel crib and family bikes (for adults and children) make it easy to bring the little ones.

It's just as good for active groups. Cycle or hike straight from the door, drive 20 minutes to Monchique mountain for its hiking and biking trails, or reach the west-coast surf spots — Amado, Arrifana and Carrapateira are around 25 minutes away. Golfers have the fairways at the garden gate, with 40+ courses within an hour.

After a day outdoors, unwind in the Turkish steam bath and sauna, fire up the barbecue, and dine outside in the illuminated garden. Alvor beach and the Ria de Alvor nature reserve are minutes away, with the Portimão racing circuit and Monchique close by.

From the time we booked to the time we departed, he was so kind and helpful, giving us many helpful tips and suggestions about the area. He communicated with us daily to make sure we were comfortable. The home itself is a peaceful and spacious oasis, with beautiful grounds and plenty of space for our family of 9. It was a close drive to many Algarve towns. We would highly recommend this rental.
