The River Cottage was so well equipped with kitchen ware, microwave, full oven, refrigerator and even Alexa for listening 🎧 to music at night on our Lanai. „An uncomplicated house sitting right on the beach! "No fluff" is not a bad thing, just that the house had exactly what you needed and nothing you did not. Ample sleeping space, multiple bathrooms, easy beachfront access, and an outdoor shower to get the sand off. Easy check-in to boot!Oh, and we counted 14 wild peacocks roaming the property at one time! Really neat for the kids!“

„Exceptional! Our host Elaine was an amazing host and checked in on us regularly throughout our stay. She went out of her way to make our check in process easier, even in the dark. Very thoughtful. „Building is gorgeous inside and out. Everything you need is there, we even left a couple bamboo mats for the next visitors. Sat out on the porch in the evening drinking wine and listening to the frogs.Note that as the proprietor states, it is up in the rain forest, so it will rain and can be cool. That being said, it's a 20 minute drive down to sunny Kailua (where it can be a bit uncomfortably hot!).Owner very responsive. Nice stay“
