„The family that runs this homestay is so incredibly sweet. They don't speak much English, but that's okay. We got by! Danu called me on the phone upon check-in to make sure everything was to my liking. The street it's on is a very local one so there isn't much around, but I had a driver so it was perfectly fine. If you were to walk, I think it would have probably taken 15 or so minutes to the rock along a scenic road :) Danu's mother cooked me the best chicken curry I've ever had! So tasty!! ...

„We loved our stay at The Otunna guest house. We were looked after in every way, nothing was too much trouble. Any activity we wanted to do or transport we needed could be arranged easily by staff. Breakfast was amazing!! Highly recommend a stay here while in Sigiria.“

„Really cute new hotel! The staff was amazing! Due to miscommunication we arrived in another hotel, therefor we arrived late in Serenity. But it was al good and they took good care of us. They don’t have a restaurant, but the staff dien’t hesitate when we asked for some drinks! They went on a motorbike for us, late in the evening, for some drinks for us! So nice! Also, the room was amazing. Really big, nice bed, good working a/c and wifi! Really recommend this hotel! “

„This property is in the middle of nowhere so there it comes the magic. I can’t complain about slow and poor wifi or power issues since this isn’t a hotel but a home stay. The family hosting is among the best people you could ever meet, very attentive with guests and providing an excellent service and serving a tasty land grown food. We really enjoyed our time there, certainly a place to disconnect in the middle of the island “

„Absolutely perfect. I could not have found a better host anywhere. The room is clean and lovely. The garden is beautiful. The breakfast are just delicious. Mother is a really good cook and I had the best vegetable roll and potato and egg samosa i have tried anywhere. The host made us so welcome and helped us with everything. He did all the hard work for us! The driver is lovely too. I feel privileged to stay here and regret I cannot stay longer“

„Arrived at the hotel to be told that they hadn't finished building it yet and have booked a room at a different hotel near by for us. They said the new hotel was $12 per night more but they would take on that cost and offered us breakfast as an apology which was a very good breakfast. This would have been fine if the hotel they booked had actually been $12 per night more instead of actually turning out to be $18 per night cheaper than we had paid! Feel a bit ripped off. „wonderful oasis in a lush garden. I even had a huge balcony. It's a bit outside the centre but that gives you a very relaxing stay without any traffic noise.
