The village of Newton Ferrers is just 10 miles from Plymouth. Surrounded by ancient woodland and creeks, the village sits on the Yealm estuary, the waters edge has a slipway and mooring for boats. There is a pub which serves food, a shop open 7 days a week and Deli/bakery and further two pubs in Noss Mayo, The Swan and The Ship Inn. Three miles down the road in Yealmpton is Ben's Farm shop selling organic, free range and sustainable food and interesting wine with a cafe and a PYO farm next door. The Warren is a beautiful stretch of coastline and circular walking routes take you along the cliff tops overlooking the sea. The village of Noss is a pleasant walk or if low tide one can walk across a causeway and offers two pubs. Attractions in the area include Saltram House and Gardens, National Marine Aquarium, the Plymouth City Museum and Art Gallery and the Theatre Royal.

On entering this historic stone property the comfortable lounge has attractive décor and stylish furniture. Snuggle up on the leather sofa and watch TV or use the DVD to watch a movie. There are lots of interesting books and magazines to inspire your adventures. A useful separate WC is also on this floor. The spacious kitchen/diner offers and electric double oven and hob microwave, fridge/freezer, washing machine, large dining table and no need to do the washing up as the dishwasher will do it for you. Heading up the staircase are three bedrooms, a king-size with en-suite shower and WC, 1 twin and 1 single. On this floor, you will also find a bathroom with shower over bath and WC.

Outside from the kitchen/diner is an enclosed walled Mediterranean style courtyard with 2 patio tables and chairs.
