Practice piano or guitar, relax on the rocking chair front porch, sun yourself on the back deck, go for a walk in the woods, or just catch up on sleep on our comfy DreamCloud mattresses.



The Space:

Need to get away to relax or to finish a project? Or perhaps need some family bonding time? Our quiet creative retreat is away from the hustle and bustle of daily life but close enough that you can get back to town quickly for restaurants or work. This is our family's home away from home nestled in just under five wooded acres and we are happy to share that with you when we aren't there!



Practice piano or guitar, relax on the rocking chair front porch, sun yourself on the back deck, go for a walk in the woods, or just catch up on sleep on our comfy DreamCloud mattresses. Have a tall person or people with you? We understand! The primary bedroom has a California King and none of our beds have footboards to get in your way. All bedding is washed in hot water between guests.



We have high speed internet through Spectrum and two smart TVs (one in the living room and one in the downstairs bedroom) that can access cable and you are welcome to log in to your streaming services. Great for remote work or a comfortable stay on a business trip. Home is stocked with fun games and books and we have a drawing table and easel you are welcome to use. You are also welcome to use our Peloton bike and yoga mat/blocks when here. Need baby stuff? We can help! Check with host on booking. Small crib and high chair are available.



There are two foldable mattresses in the master bedroom closet that you can lay out for extra sleeping space.



Want to cook up some delicious meals? This house has an induction range and convection oven, a small rice cooker, a blender, charcoal grill, basic spices and oils, and quality cookware. There is a Keurig coffee maker available for you to use too. No pets please as we have a family member with allergies. (Check out Green Beagle Lodge in Pittsboro if you need dog boarding)



Note outdoor firepit should only be used when no burn restrictions are in effect (check with host!). Indoor fireplace should not be used at all.

*Haw River Canoe Launch (contact Haw River Canoe & Kayak for rentals if desired)

*Downtown Pittsboro shops and restaurants - try The MOD or Havoc Brewing Company

*Crosswinds Boating Center at Jordan Lake (boat and SUP rentals available , or simply rent an inflatable SUP at the Valero around the corner on your way)

*The Spa at Fearrington

*Carolina Tiger Rescue (reserve in advance for tours)



Less than 20 mile drive to:

*Downtown Chapel Hill/Carrboro shops and restaurants

*UNC Chapel Hill

*Downtown Apex shops and restaurants



Guest Access:

You will have access to the entire property except for 3 locked cabinets and the shed. Use of the indoor fireplaces is not permitted but you can use the outdoor fire pit unless there is a county burn ban.



The Neighborhood:

Quiet wooded neighborhood. Lighting in the neighborhood is purposely limited which makes stargazing more enjoyable!



Other Things to Note:

Audio and video are recorded on the exterior of the property 24/7.

You will be required to sign a rental agreement in our guest portal after confirming your reservation.
