"Our room was nice and clean and we had a beautiful view out of our bedroom window and off of our balcony. There was a river that runs right behind the rooms, it was great listening to that a night. It was great sitting out on our balcony, the balcony is compact though. The little kitchen was nice and suited our needs just fine. Unfortunately the pool was not working while we were there, but it was to cool and it was raining the whole time so we wouldn't have used it anyway. "

"We had so much fun here, and it was a wonderful place to come and relax after a day of activities. Very unique cabin, with porch right on the pond. Friendly ducks, dogs, and it was great hearing all of the different bird calls. Very close to restaurants and things, but felt remite and private. Comfortable bed. Only complaint was the small bathroom without much room to put things."

"We had a lovely stay in this house just outside La Fortuna. We had delicious meals and highly recommend having breakfast and dinner at the house. It was amazing to see Flash the sloth hanging out in the garden. The house has a great location near activities but gives an authentic feel. Pura vida!"

"We thoroughly enjoyed our time in Castillo. The terrace had an amazing view of Arenal volcano, and we saw so many birds in the backyard. "Overall we loved staying here. There was just enough room for our group of 10 (7 adults and 3 kids aged 4-17). "On the property lives 2 roosters which are very loud (and beautifull). And you have to feed them otherwise they will scream non stop. They start to beg for food around 4 am. "This place is pretty special. It is a small, low key resort. My son wanted to stay close to the pool, so we stayed in a standard room. The room wasn't great. The beds were hard, it could use a refresh, the air conditioner was loud, and there was no soundproofing. If we had picked one of the bungalows or treehouses, I likely would have given the place 5 stars.
