„We absolutely love the location, it is extremely peaceful, the scenery is stunning and so perfect location for visiting Whitesands, St. David’s, Newgale and Solva. The accommodation is spotlessly clean and well equipped with a private garden and patio area. Turn left out of the entrance door and you’re along the costal path. We have been staying with Mrs Murphy for the last 24 years, we leave after a week’s stay feeling refreshed and energised and will be booking for next year.“

„The photos do not show this place as it is. The main issue is that the bed is in a loft space - up a very steep ladder - its claustrophobic and difficult to access if your knees and ankles are not 10 years old. Couple that with it having an unexpected wood fired hot tub - and being left only 3 small composite logs to light it for 3 nights - not enough to get it hot day 1 - and who wants to spend the evening up to your arms in soot trying to light it anyway - say its log fired in the ad / say ...

„Das Haus ist mit allem ausgestattet und sehr sauber, die Einrichtung ist etwas altmodisch, aber gemütlich. Es gehört ein kleiner Garten mit sonniger Terrasse zu dem Haus. Der Vermieter ist sehr nett und sehr hilfsbereit, er hat mir viele gute Tipps für Besichtigungen gegeben. Die Stromkosten, die man extra bezahlt, waren sehr gering. Mehrere Strände und der Küstenwanderweg liegen ganz in der Nähe, Trefin ist ein sehr hübsches Dorf, mit einem kleinen Pub.“

„Wir sind sehr geflashed von der Freundlichkeit in Wales. Auch von den Vermietern. War alles zur besten Zufriedenheit. Das einzige wäre noch die Beschreibung um das Cottage zu finden wäre noch zu verbessern-vorallem für Ausländer. Aber ansonsten alles ein supertoller Aufenthalt. “

„We had a lovely week at Rooks Retreat - even got used to the rasping rooks! Wasn’t as close to Freshwater East as we hoped. It is possible to walk (up the lane from the cottage) towards Freshwater Inn, but there are some very steep steps to negotiate down onto the beach, takes about 45 minutes. The cottage is great, cosy & well equipped. The weather was so good we enjoyed sitting in the garden in the afternoon sun. Easy to make the cottage warm on those couple of cooler evenings. The main bedroom could do with a black out blind attached to the wall, the one provided you had to stick to the window and it fell down the first night. A couple of the floor boards in the bedrooms both need fixing down. Great location for the beach!“
