Immerse yourself in a one-of-a-kind camping adventure at our Bohemian Retreat, where vintage charm meets modern comfort. Nestled within a sprawling and secluded campsite, this enchanting getaway features two beautifully restored vintage buses, each painted in a vibrant bohemian gypsy style that exudes creativity and freedom.



Features of the Bohemian Retreat:



Unique Accommodations: Step inside these lovingly transformed buses and discover a cozy, yet spacious, interior designed for ultimate comfort. Each bus has two twin-over-twin bunk beds: two twin mattresses above and two below. There are eight twin mattresses across the two buses. With a total sleeping capacity of 8 across the two buses, it’s perfect for families or groups of friends. You will need to bring your own twin sheets, blankets, pillows, comforters and/or sleeping bags (8 twin mattresses).



Expansive Campsite: The site is generously sized, offering ample space for everyone to spread out and enjoy. On one side, a forested area provides the perfect setting for pitching a couple of large tents, adding to the campsite’s versatility.



Charming Firepit Area: Gather around the beautiful firepit, which is encircled by two slabwood benches, perfect for sharing stories and roasting marshmallows. The 3-foot metal fire ring ensures a safe and cozy fire to warm your nights under the stars.



Space for Gathering: In front of the buses, there’s plenty of room for 10x10 canopies, creating a shaded area for relaxing, dining, or simply soaking in the peaceful atmosphere.



Tranquil Surroundings: Behind the buses, discover a serene small pond and a sitting area where you can unwind and connect with nature. Nearby, our camp vegetable garden is in view enhancing the rustic charm of this unique site.

You'll also find yourself conveniently close to a trail leading directly to the Johnson Swim Hole and the main beach area, making it easy to indulge in water activities whenever you wish.



Include all overnight guests, including anyone sleeping in tents, in your reservation and follow the guest limit shown when booking. For larger groups, consider booking additional nearby campsites such as C5, C4 or C3.



The surrounding area is a paradise for outdoor enthusiasts. With numerous river access points both upstream and downstream, adventure is always just a short walk, bike ride, or drive away. Embark on a journey along the magnificent biking road that winds through the forest and dead-ends 2.5 miles past the camp, offering stunning riverfront views. Don't miss the Hendricks swinging bridge, a unique pedestrian cable suspension bridge, located just half a mile towards town, where you can find more spots for swimming and tubing.



SLEEPING, BEDDING AND GROUP SIZE

Eight guests are included in the nightly rate. Eight guests can sleep in the two buses; with your own tents outside, the maximum for the site is 16 guests. Larger groups should book additional nearby campsites.



Sheets, blankets, pillows, comforters and sleeping bags are not provided; please bring all of your own bedding.



Children ages 2–12 count toward the included guest allowance and maximum occupancy. Infants under 2 stay free and are excluded from those counts.



GUEST CAPACITY AND BRING-YOUR-OWN TENTS

The maximum guest count is the total permitted overnight group size for this site, including guests camping outside in their own tents. It is not a promise of an indoor bed or furnished sleeping space for every guest. Refer to the sleeping arrangements above for the beds, cots, mats and any tents supplied with this booking. Guests using their own tents must bring their tents, sleeping equipment and bedding. All overnight guests, including tent campers, must be included in the reservation and remain within the site maximum; applicable extra-person fees apply. Bringing a tent does not increase the maximum occupancy.
