Un lugar ideal, tranquilo si quieres desconectar, pero muy a mano de Ribadesella, Arriondas, Cangas y de la A8. El Palacio, un auténtico lujo. Hemos pasado unos días fantásticos en la casa y la zona. Muchas gracias a Pilar y Marta, con quienes es fácil la comunicación en cualquier momento.

Una casa preciosa en un lugar maravilloso

Fui con toda mi familia a pasar unos días a Asturias. Elegimos la casa por estar en una ubicación maravillosa al lado del Sella con unas vistas espectaculares y con el espacio y los facilitis suficientes para pasar unos días estupendos de excursiones y descanso. Todo ha sido perfecto y esperamos volver en próximos años Muchas gracias a Isabel, Marta y Pilar por ayudarnos a pasar una estancia espectacular

Comfortably stay

Lovely quiet property in sleepy Torano. Loved the river we could walk down to for evening cool offs! House is spacious and comfortable with excellent showers and a really useful downstairs basement for storing bikes etc. Some of the rooms are dark as it is an old house and some of the windows are very small. Second floor huge window is the total opposite though with spectacular views over mountains. Highlight of the local area is the undoubtedly the beaches. Isabel and Martha are excellent hosts who are very helpful and easily contactable. They spoke excellent English.

Beautiful house to escape to

Off the beaten path but still within striking distance of beaches and mountains, this is a beautifully presented house. Our group of 8 had a wonderful time here. The views are truly spectacular and there is easy walking directly from the door, whether down through the village to the river, or along the river valley. The interior decoration and the equipment was all exceptional, and it’s a lovely kitchen to cook in and dining room to eat. It’s worth noting that access to the house is very tight and if you have a very wide car, may not actually be achievable. There is easy parking for one car, a second will involve Tetris like manoeuvres. Also, there isn’t really a garden as such since the area near the house that could be a garden doubles as the car park.

A very special property

The Palacio was built in 1701 and is steeped in history with masses of character, we have never stayed anywhere like it, even the internal doors are a sight to behold. It is very spacious and has plenty of room to relax. The bedrooms are well appointed with comfortable beds and we appreciated having an en suite in each room. The kitchen is very well equipped and we enjoyed cooking in it. Special thanks to Marta for ensuring we had some food to cook on our first night when the supermarket was closed! We also loved all of the eye catching photography on the walls. The jewel in the crown however is the truly stunning viewing room with the most breathtaking mountain view, the photo really doesn't convey how beautiful that is. We enjoyed many mornings and evenings in that room with our 10 and 12 year old children, playing chess and cards, it is so peaceful. The house is only around 10 minutes drive from Ribadesella, the other reviewers are correct to say that the road up to the house is a little tight but your parking sensors will make sure you don't hit anything and once you get used to it the drive is fine. Ribadesella is a lovely seaside town and we really enjoyed the beach there on most days. We spent one day kayaking up the Sella river from Ariondas (would recommend Rumbo Norte for a booking) that was a very memorable and amazing experience. We also spent a day in Oviedo which is a lovely city with a fantastic art gallery. We had a great holiday in Asturias and staying at the Palacio made it very special. Would highly recommend. We will most certainly return.

Outstanding place in a great and quiet location in Asturias

Our family stayed there for 10 days this summer. The palace is fully equipped, super clean, with high-end appliances and has everything you need. The house is very spacious and stylish decorated. The host, Isabel, was very welcoming and always available. The palace is in a small and quiet village, perfect for switching off the hectic life. You feel on vacation from the moment you are there! Easy access to the wonderful beaches of Asturias and to the Picos de Europa! Great place, felt like staying there for the whole summer! We will be back! Highly recommendable! Nuestra familia estuvo hospedada 10 dias este verano. El palacio esta muy limpio, bien equipado, con todo lo que necesitas. La casa tiene mucho espacio y esta decorada de forma muy elegante. Isabel, la dueña, esta disponible y atiende todas las preguntas. El palacio esta en un pueblo pequeño, perfecto para desconectar desde el momento en que llegas. Acceso fácil a playas estupendas y a los Picos de Europa. Nos hubiera encantado quedarnos mas tiempo y seguro que volveremos. Muy recomendable!

Beautiful area!

We enjoyed our stay. The house is lovely with beautiful views. We did have to get used to no doors on the bathrooms. Marta and Isabel were very helpful with restaurant suggestions. The bridge and road that you drive to get to the house are very narrow, which was a little scary, especially the first time you drive it. We were a little nervous about driving it in the dark, but we did get used to it. The house location was very conveniently located for all the areas we were visiting. Great trip!

Tranquil stay in Asturias

We just spent a week in this lovely place. We were four adults and had more space than we needed really. It is located in the tiny hamlet of Toraño. The upstairs where most of the bedrooms are located, has a sitting area with a panoramic view of the mountains, river, and parts of the village. It was ideally located for visits to all of the surrounding area and we made many excursions. Isabel and Marta were very helpful with directions and suggestions. We would recommend it as a wonderful base for Asturias.

Beautiful house in a great location. Fabulous beaches, towns and spectacular mountains all around

We had a wonderful holiday at Torano Palacio. The house is really beautifully decorated and has fantastic views of the mountains and river. There was everything we needed for a comfortable stay including a well equipped kitchen. Despite our terrible Spanish, we had a very warm welcome from Pili in the village and Marta and Isobel were really helpful with tips on local restaurants and places. The location of the house is perfect for accessing both the coast and the mountains. We had a great time exploring the many gorgeous coves and beaches and enjoyed going up into the mountains to walk and eat cheese! We kayaked down the River Sella which was great fun. Ribadesella, Llanes, Cangas and Arriondes were all easily reached and we enjoyed trying local dishes. Thank you Isobel and Marta for sharing your beautiful house with us, we loved it.

Perfect for our family

We (my husband, two boys and I) were lucky enough to spend ten blissful weeks here. It was the perfect "get away from it all" location but also not too far from the nearby towns of Ribidasella and Arriondas. The house was absolutely amazing. It has been so lovingly restored by Isabel and Marta. We felt really privileged to stay there. The photos online just don't do it just. The house is very comfortable and convenient while also maintaining its old world charm. The views of the mountains and river Sella were spectacular. The upstairs sitting room has a massive window was an ideal spot to gaze out at the views. There was lots to keep our three year old entertained with (playing on the beach at the river, exploring the hills and Forrest's behind the house and of course going to the wonderful beaches near by. Food in the area is also fantastic and great value. Marta, Isabel and Pillar could not have been more helpful either. It really became home and way from home and we'd definitely like to return one day to this magical place.

Beyond our expectations!

The Palacio is lovely...it was more beautiful than the photos! We spent a wonderful week at the Casona Asturias. We were welcomed by Pili, who attends to the property, and although we speak limited Spanish and she spoke no English, we were able to communicate well. She was delightful in explaining all of the amenities of the house and kitchen. The house was emaculate with fresh hydrangea in vases in many of the rooms. The casona was spacious and eclectically decorated. We love to cook, and found the kitchen to be well appointed. There was even a dishwasher! Additionally, there was a new washer and dryer in the laundry room, plus an indoor clothesline for delicates. The most stunning room is the sitting room off of the master bedroom. The view is outstanding and we had many lovely evenings sharing wine and watching the kayaks on the river below.The location of Palacio is perfect. We were close to many interesting and fun small towns and beautiful beaches. We enjoyed kayaking on the river and hiking nearby. There were a variety of restaurants to chose from very close to the small village of Torano as well. Isabel and Marta have a book with their favorites (including menus and directions). Isabel and Marta were so gracious as to stop by on our last day to offer us some great restaurant recommendations in San Sebastian where we were next headed. We often rent homes in the countries we visit and this was an exceptional experience. We look forward to returning and bringing friends and family!

SEMANA SANTA EN EL PALACIO

Nuestra experiencia en el Palacio ha sido estupenda. La casa es preciosa, cada rincón y cada detalle hacen de ella un lugar que recordaremos con mucho cariño. La casa es muy acogedora, con muy buena calefacción y está completamente equipada, dormitorios, zonas comunes, cocina... Nosotros pasamos cinco noches en familia, con la amona que tiene 94 años quien disfruto como la que más de la casa dado que cuenta con dormitorio completo en la planta baja sin necesidad de subir escaleras. El entorno es precioso y aunque el tiempo nos dio pocas treguas las aprovechamos todas! Visitamos: -Ribadesella -Arriondas -Cangas de Onís -Lagos de Covadonga -Gijón Los días que pasamos allí serán inolvidables, gracias por todo!

Semana Santa

Estuvimos 3 familias en Semana Santa y pasamos increíble! La casa es muy cómoda (tanto habitaciones y zonas comunes) y además con mucho gusto y detalle. La vista sobre el Sella es preciosa, y está muy cerca de Ribadesella, así que la ubicación es ideal. Lo único es que el GPS nos hizo perdernos, así que pedir indicaciones para llegar directo. Casona/palacio rural espectacular, muyyy muyy espaciosa, acogedora; sencilla y artística decoradación. Las fotos y descripción de la casa en la web son reales. Casa ideal para vacaciones familiares, gastronómicas, rurales y de aventura. Todo muy nuevo y recien restaurada en muy buen estado, a pesar de su larga historia. Muy limpia. Equipada con todas la tecnologías necesarias de electrodomésticos y wifi. Camas muy cómodas. Muy buena atención de la dueña Isabel y de la asistenta Pili; ambas muy agradables y con vocación de servicio al inquilino. Casa ubicada en una pequeña aldea rodeada de altas montañas, paisajes, prados y bosques con gran biodevirsidad de fauna y especialente de flora. Bosques con gran variedad de vegetales. Ideal para darse paseos y caminatas. Playas magníficas a pocos kilómetros Vecinos muy afables, como asturianos que son. Nada que comentar de lo bien que se come por la zona. Como reza el dicho "Con fabes y sidrina no fai falta gasolina". La parada de tren Feve a 100 metros, da mucho juego para desplazarse a Ribadesella, Llanes y pueblitos cercanos con gran encanto. Tened precaución con el desvío de la carretera general Arriondas- Ribadesella para coger la corta y muy estrecha carretera a Toraño; te lo encuentras de pronto y hay que cogerlo con poca velocidad, sino te puedes comer el "quitamiedo" de la carretera. Vacaciones muy agradables, una vez allí no querreis iros. Hemos coincidido con la 75 bajada internacional del Sella y la hemos visto en directo (El Sella pasa a 100 metros) Recomiendo esta casa, creo que es ideal para dos o tres familias, también con el fin de compartir el gasto del alquiler, que no es barato, pero que merece la pena.

Palacio de Toraño

Una maravilla de casa, preciosa muy bien decorada con todos los detalles y muy confortable. Hemos estado muy a gusto los niños lo han pasado fenomenal y hemos disfrutado mucho tanto de la casa como del entorno. Gracias a Pili e Isabel por su buena disposición. Esperamos volver.
