My wife and I were looking for a base to stay for 11 days in the Perigord / North Dordogne to allow us to explore the area and found this fantastic "petit chateau" on the outskirts of Thiviers. „Marielle and Loic were very kind and warm. It felt like I was staying at my favorite cousin’s house, and the home being a Chateau was the icing on the cake. Le Chateau de Lavaud is a gorgeous, serene castle with a generous landscape and spacing. The bed was comfortable, and the bathroom had a quaint, antiquated feel of Spanish / Moroccan design. „Nous avons passé quelques jours au domaine de Maumont, entre amis et en sommes ravis ! Le gîte est très bien équipé, les chambres sont spacieuses et chacune à sa salle de bain, ce qui est un plus non négligeable avec des enfants. Le beau temps nous a permis de profiter des extérieurs, de la grande terrasse couverte et surtout de la piscine. Pour être au calme lors d’un moment en famille ou entre amis, n’hésitez pas !“

"Es handelt sich hier um ein in die Jahre gekommenes 3-Sterne Hotel. Wir haben uns dafür entschieden, weil es in der Stadt liegt (in 15 Minuten ist man zu Fuß im Zentrum) und Parkplatz hat. Das Personal am Empfang war extrem freundlich und hilfsbereit und hat uns hervorragende Tipps für den Besuch der Stadt gegeben! Das Bad war neu gemacht und sauber, das Zimmer selbst hat leider einen Teppichboden, was nicht jedermanns Sache ist. Ansonsten haben wir ruhig geschlafen. Das Frühstück war gut präsentiert und frisch."
