„Lovely traditional Lakes coach inn in great setting close to Bassenthwaite although no view of the lake itself. Service was a bit archaic but I’m putting this down to because it felt like everyone was new? The original historic snug bar is the best feature within but it is clear they are more focused on servicing the relatively new restaurant bar area. Free parking and WiFi.

„It’s always a very nice experience staying there. Nice people at the bar. Good breakfast, my Room was newly renovated. See you next Time.“

„Great B&B with a lovely host, beautiful location, very nice room, delicious breakfast- everything was perfect, will definitely come again. “

Mattress was really thin, when you sat on it you were basically sat on the bed base and when you laid on the bed you could feel the springs in your back and side. The walls were wafer thin, you can hear the tap running and toilet etc from the room next door. Also the water in the bathroom made a right racket when you ran the tap, shower or flushed the toilet.
