„We entered the place with both grandparents and kids, 8 people in total. The 4 nights were absolutely too short to enjoy everything but the time we had was great. The house itself is very comfortable, nicely decorated and very clean. The view is amazing! Hilo as city is fantastic and the volcano park is a must to go. We did barbecue and enjoyed the house. Thanks to the parents of Robin for your hospitality and the nice coffee and cookies. Mahalo!“

„Das Haus ist sehr grosszügig, sehr sauber und hat alles, damit man sich wohlfühlen kann.
Die Lage ist optimal, um viele Hotspots von Big Island erkunden zu können.
Die verschiedenen Unterhaltungsmöglichkeiten, wie Billiard, Fahrräder oder Basketball konnten wir auch immer wieder nutzen.

„Wir waren wir insgesamt 7 Nächte auf dem traumhaften Anwesen von Laurel und Kalani. Gleich am ersten Tag wurden wir von der ganzen Familie so herzlich begrüßt, dass man sich gleich wie zuhause gefühlt hat. Laurel gab uns jede Menge Tipps für unsere Ausflüge und wir bekommen Obst aus eigenem Anbau und selber gemachtes Bananenbrot als Verpflegung mit. Die Familie ist so herzlich genau so wie die liebevolle Einrichtung der kleinen Ferienwohnung.

„Uns hat die Unterkunft sehr gefallen. Dies lag vor allem daran, dass man mitten in der Natur ist und es einfach total grün ist. Der Garten ist sehr schön. Die Terasse ist klasse, dort kann man super essen, während Vögel und Geckos da sind. Zu erwähnen ist auch, dass es nachts Geräusche durch Frösche gibt, was wir klasse fanden, aber sehr laut ist und es dahwr ggf Personen geben könnte, die dies stört.
Einziger negativer Punkt: es ist nichts fußläufig oder schnell mit dem Auto zu erreichen, wenn ...

„My husband and I had the most enjoyable stay at the Huilili Farm. The Pineapple cottage was so comfortable, and had everything we needed. Both the inside bed and the outside hanging bed were super comfy. It took a lot of will power to get out of the hanging bed on the lanai to go sightseeing. We enjoyed visiting Akaka Falls and the town of Honomu and its eateries, as well as the Hakalau trail (if you are concerned about bugs—mosquito repellent was effective). „We were using this place as a base, from which we explored the eastern half of Big Island. For us as a family of 4, it was a great place, which provided an individual room for both of our kids. We also really enjoyed the provided snorkelling gear and beach equipment. Communication with the hosts was very good.
Our only minor point of concern during our stay was that the washing machine had broken down prior to our arrival and wasn't available to us, but we managed without.“

„The property was amazing and much more spacious than the pictures conveyed. The home was well stocked with cooking, pool and general living needs. With three generations sharing the home we found we had plenty of room to spread and give the youngest members of the family room to run. „My husband and I stayed in this condo for 9 days and enjoyed every minute. First of all, Salt Water Vacations staff were wonderful. We had a local liaison introduce herself and was present for any concerns we might have had. They bent over backwards to make our stay comfortable. The condo was very comfortable and inviting. „8 of us stayed at this wonderful property (5 adults and 3 kids under 10). It was just perfect. The house is extremely comfortable and everyone had their own space. We loved the location as for us we wanted to explore Volcano National Park and much of the east side of the island. We did go to Kona for a day which was easily accessible as well. Hilo is awesome and so is this house!“

"Man bucht diese Unterkunft, weil sie im Vergleich zu anderen Unterkünften schlicht am billigsten ist. Alles ist krumm und schief, ein Fenster war zum Teil zerbrochen bei uns. Die Fliegengitter haben wir mit etwas Papier gestopft, damit sicher keine Mücken reinkommen. Aber das Zimmer war sauber und wir konnten uns gut duschen und das kleine Bad benutzen. Die Rohre sind von außen rostig und das Zimmer lag an der Straße, was kann man gehört hat, das Frühstück war eher schlecht. Aber es gab Kaffee und wir hatten eigenen Toast dabei... das WLAN funktioniert nur in der Lobby. Wir waren nur eine Nacht da und das war okay. Für zwei Nächte oder mehr würde ich das Hotel wohl nicht empfehlen."

"On the first look the room was clean and it looked quite nice but the floor was not really clean and the blanket I had to sleep on had a few stains on it. Also my neighbours threw a big party in the next room and were really loud with a lots of people and they also stole a car. And if theres no party you hear everything your neighbours do and I mean „everything“. The wifi in my room was also non existent. But on the good side the room had some free snacks and it‘s located in a Beautiful spots and the most people living there are nice. Apart from the stains on the blanket and the crumps on the floor the room was clean and I‘m sure it was just bad timing that the party was during my stay. For eating there you have to buy yourself something or order delivery which is ultra expensive there. "
