We wanted to have a balcony room overlooking the ocean to watch sunrises and sunsets, hang out just to watch the waves. So that was a big consideration for our booking needs. We wanted pools so the kids could swim and not have to be at the beach. We live in Columbus Ohio so that was about a 13 hour drive. I received an email the day we are suppose to leave on the 30th after 7pm (we were leaving at 10pm to head to fl) I received an email saying that our balcony will be closed during our stay due to construction. Immediately bummed. They said some are open others are to remain closed due to safety and will be fixed the first week of April. Our stay was booked from march 31- April 4. We get checked in after having to wait for someone to send us a code bc it never activated at 4pm like it was suppose to. We get in the room and balcony is boarded shut with absolutely no railing at all to it just a big open hole. Every morning I was there by 8am there was a jackhammer over my ceiling from the floor above being worked on. There was no sleeping through it, you couldn’t hear the tv at all. So we spent the first day starting 9am at the beach. By 230 we are all tired, burnt & wanna lay down to cool off. Go to the room and all you hear is drilling n jack hammering. This happened every day from 8am till 4 or 5 pm every single day up to the day we left. I paid a good amount to feel ripped off my vacation. Only one pool was open so it was overcrowded. Should have went with my other choice
