Great location

My family stayed for a week and enjoyed our stay! Good location, easy assess to the beach, and good vibes by the pool. Only negative comment would be the dirtiness of the floors. We would definitely stay again!

Shouldn't be rented

I normally don't leave bad reviews but this place was just awful. Upon check in there was a plumber working on the garbage disposal in the sink. He said it was broken and not to use it. he put tape over the switch and left. That side of the sink was clogged up as well as the bathroom sink was leaking. The next day housekeeping randomly shows up and knocks on the door and just walks in at 7:40a. She seemed shocked I was there and I told her I didn't need anything, and she left. Never saw another housekeeper after that. I work remotely and tried to work but the internet does not work well at all. I had to go and purchase a hotspot just to answer emails and remote in to work. A few days later someone knocks on the door and says water was coming out of the wall and they needed to check our unit for leaks. The next morning they are sawing the wall open outside the bedroom window, tired out the fire suppression system was leaking. Another couple of days the electrician shows up, fixes the switch but says another person would be by to fix then garbage disposal then goes on to tell me the wiring in the ceiling fans in the unit were not up to code since it was cut extension cords spliced into the fixes then run down the wall threaded through a chain. The entire stay was just constant bombardment with contractors and building mantenence making it impossible to have any peace or privacy. The unit itself violates several codes. Smoke detector didn't even have batteries.

Nice getaway

It was nice in September! There were no crowds. The room was not the cleanest and there was hardly any dishes or things in the cabinet. It had no ice maker and we had to by ice. The chairs came with the room but you had to go check in and get a different chair every day (whatever was left over). It was not a huge problem this time of year however. All in all it was okay.

35th Birthday

Husband and I stayed for a week, Aug 12-19, overall the property was just as described and pictured. Ocean front, deck, bed was VERY comfortable, fitness center, pools, umbrella/tan bed set up at beach every day, it was a wonderful time, the place had everything you could need. On the downside, there were leaks and what we think is mold, the couches were so nasty I didn’t let anyone or thing touch them and I brought cleaning spray to clean surfaces first, which was a good thing as handles on cabinets etc were very gross. We knew going into it based off reviews it may not be the cleanest so I wasn’t super disappointed bc I was prepared just thought the leaks had been fixed and they had not. Luckily it didn’t affect our stay, and we had a wonderful time. Also, they had security and gate at parking lot, at beach entrance, cameras around outside, made ya feel safe, you do have to pay $20 for parking I don’t think that was mentioned in the listing.

The Summit is an older property but the amenities are up to date and it we had a great time. The condo itself needs a bit of work but definitely served our purpose. Just needs some small cosmetic updates. The condo was well supplied for typical living needs while on vacation. Overall we had a great time.

We have been visiting Panama City for over 20 years. I will have to say this is the worst place we have ever stayed. ...1. It was so run down and nasty. 2. There was mold all over everything from ceilings, wall, shower head, lamp shades. Bedding. 3. To top it off we had rats.. I contacted the place we rented from and she apologized and said she would get maintenance right there. No one ever showed up. I could go on but you get the picture. I understand Florida may have a lot of moisture being on the ocean but at least clean it before people stay there. 175.00 cleaning fee it should be clean and it was obvious it had not been cleaned for some time.

Plumbing issues.sewage pouring im my bed at 11pm.you are not renting. From summit so they dont care.2 towels in bathroom.had to buy just to cleanup.do not stay here. Elevator dont work. You walk 14 floors.nasty and you cant get anyone on phone

NASTY

The room was not clean. The ceiling had black spots all over it. The floor, couch and love seat was filthy. The bed was VERY uncomfortable. You could feel the springs which felt like you were sleeping on a sofa bed. The trim was coming loose everywhere in the condo. The tub was black around base. The washer’s rubber seal was black and smelt awful. There were no extra blankets for the other beds. There were no silverware to eat with. No toaster! I had to fry my waffles. I will never stay in this same condo again.

Never stay at a dirty place before.

This place was just nasty and dirty. Had to go to the store and buy supplies to clean just to sleep at night. I don't recommend anyone staying at this nasty place.

Do not book here

We stay at the summit 2x a year ever year and have for the last 7 years. This visit was an experience to say the least. We checked in a little after 4 and was met with complete filth. Poop on the bathroom door, toothpaste on everything(walls, dishes, toilet) mold and spilt liquids on the counters and tables. Mold on the ceilings, lamp fixtures. A bed that was half made! I could go on and on! I took several pictures! Once we finally got ahold of the property manager she was the only thing pleasant about our stay. She did end up moving us condos the next day to a much more pleasant experience. However the entire first day of our stay was ruint. We had to go and purchase cleaning supplies and I spent the entire evening cleaning just so my family could sleep there. We were told our cleaning deposit would be refunded and if it were I wouldn’t write a nasty review however I have waited a few weeks and still nothing. I asked for a partial refund and was told no. If you don’t care about staying in disgust this is your place!

I wouldn’t stay here:/

I came to this property with two other friends and we were really excited to have an ocean view and a nice hotel and room to stay in. The hotel was nice, this specific condo was not. We aren’t high maintenance people but this place was unacceptable. When we got there, there was hair in the bed sheets and used soap in the shower. The condo looked like it hadn’t been cleaned since the last people that stayed there and when we called the property manager to tell her she said “doesn’t sound dirty to me”. She offered to give us new sheets but they didn’t show up until a couple days later. The property manager was rude the first day and then refused to answer our phone calls the next day. This condo is promised to come with 2 beach chairs and a tent from the company on the beach and the guys working there said emerald coast hadn’t paid for it yet so refused to give them to us. Again, the property manager didn’t answer for the whole day so we didn’t have our “free chairs that come with the condo”. Overall, we dealt with what we were handed but I would not stay here if I were you.

Terrible room with great view!

The room was not cleaned very well. There was dust and grime all over the fixtures. I found used Q-tips on the bedroom floor. The pillows were stained, flat and nasty. The bedroom mattress was SO uncomfortable that it hurt my back. I even bought a mattress topper at Walmart for the second night and it didn’t fix it all the way. The couch in the living room was extremely worn out. Only one person could sit on it and only if they doubled up the cushions. The mattress inside the couch was stained and disgusting. The view from the balcony was beautiful but I am sure the view is the same from other rentals that are better kept up. The picture of the rental that we saw was VERY different from what we actually received.

OMG DISGUSTING

I have NEVER stayed in a filthier rental...the black mold and the complete lack of ANY cleaning prior to our arrival was just disgusting...our bed linens had not been changed from the previous rentors!! I would strongly discourage anyone from staying in this unit!!!

Worst Vacation Ever

The condo was not clean when we checked in I had to sweep and mop the unit. There is mold in the entire condo through out. The balcony door is loose and makes a whistling noise all the time. The balcony furniture isn’t fit for the thrift store.The washer had mold all in it and stunk. The furniture was horrible nothing like what is shown on website. You fall down into the sofa when you try to sit on it. The bed was so uncomfortable I had a backache the entire trip. We took our service dogs and kept getting the run around between the on-site office and security about registering them. Elevators get stuck on floors and are so slow. Will never rent from them again.

There was mold in the shower. There were no blankets/comforters for the beds, and it wasn't a keyless entry like the ad stated. Management did come out and fix the very dated key holder at the door. However, we asked 3 times for blankets and we never received any. The elevators worked about 1/3 of the time(we were on the 14th floor). We had to wait in line to get on the elevators just about every time. Overall it wasn't a clean place, and we will not be back to the "Slummit".

1403 is in desperate need of repairs and repairing.

Mold or water damage on ceilings. Damaged lamp shades, damaged furniture, stained sofas, horrible mattresses, dirty unmopped floors, moldy shower curtain, stained toilets that hadn't been cleaned, washing machine smelled musty. Tons of dust on hanging lights and ceiling fans. Terrible unit.

I had previously booked a different condo but the week before our trip the owner "claimed" to have sold the unit. I immediately looked online for a replacement and was thankful to find this place. It was more expensive than the other place because rates were up everywhere. We have stayed at the Summit many times so we were familiar with the location. The view was amazing and the unit was satisfactory. It is older and in need up some update. The confirmation email said that sheets and comforters were provided on the beds but no blankets so we brought a couple of light blankets from home for the twin bunks. There were only sheets on all beds when we got there so we had to purchase a blanket for the master bed. The shower curtain needs to be replaced, there was mildew on it. Again, I am grateful to have found this place so that our family could still vacation in PCB because it is one of our favorite places to go. As always, we love that Bikini Bob's and the pools. I would stay again.

Worst room ever

I was really looking forward to this vacation. The bed in the bedroom was awful. There was dust everywhere in the bedroom and living room. There was a bad smell coming from under the sink in the bathroom and found a shirt with mildew. The stove in the kitchen was nasty. Food in the eyes and the oven was covered with crumbs. The air went out in the room and we had to have someone come out. They said it needed a new compressor but the owners wouldn’t replace it. For the amount of money we paid this was not worth it. Will not stay again. We left early because we were so miserable trying to sleep on the awful bed with the room being 77 degrees.
