We will never rent a property again that is managed by Southern Vacation Rentals. I paid for the pool to be heated. It wasn't. I contacted the rental company 5 times in the first 3 days of our vacation. Rental company never sent repairman to check it. The code to the beach gate was changed midweek. Rental company never notified us. We had to get new code from the neighbor. Used chewing gum was found in upstairs shower on arrival day. I was not happy with the communication with the rental company. All they would say is "we understand your frustration". I asked for property manager to stop by the last full day of our stay (Friday) and she never did. 16 people representing 5 families rented the house because the pool could be heated. We could have rented somewhere less expensive. I asked before our arrival if pool was in working order and I was assured it was. October weather can be chilly at night. The warm pool was very important to all of us that stayed. I asked for a partial reimbursement on the rental fee but was denied. The pool fee was finally reimbursed only after I requested it on the day we left. Southern Vacation... never again
