„Beautiful villa situated on a hill. 15min comfortable walking to the city center. Delicious breakfast (ordered à a carte). Very eco-friendly (plastic free). Big comfortable room. Only negative point: it is rather cold in the rooms, so a heater included would be great (you can pay for one though). Staff very helpful with recommendations for activities around town. “

„I really enjoyed my stay here. It has almost the feeling of a nice lodge in the woods. Everything was welcoming and friendly. I particularly liked the little print out in the room with descriptions of some day hikes you can do in the area. Only drawback is that is is a bit far away from the city center (Maybe a 20 min walk).“

„WE arrived there quite late, 4pm. It was about to be sunset and get cold. Receptionist was very friendly and helpful in giving tips to eateries and sights. The location of the hotel, on top of a hill, gives to great view of the sunset and sunrise as well as being a good marker for navigating back when you explore the small town by foot. “

„I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Royal Kalaw Hills Resort. The grounds are absolutely beautiful, the food is excellent and the service was personal and everyone was very attentive. Chozin, who manages the resort was particularly helpful and I could always count on her to help me in many capacities. Her English skills are very good and she was able to help tremendously. „Older building needs bit of maintenance. Outstanding welcome with rose petals and towels folded into statuettes. No air con and quirky electricals. Breakfast only just OK, could have been better for budget. Stairs, no lift, par for course for Myanmar.
