„We ended up finding this location at the very last minute. IT WAS PERFECT! There was a snafu with our VRBO reservation and we were unable to get in. Once we hopped onto Hotels.com and did a search for something a family of 5 could stay in near Bar Harbor during the busiest time for the area, this house in Acadia popped up. The distance to Acadia was a bit longer than we expected -- only 25 miles or so but this translated to 45 mins to an hour - depending on the time of day. “

Vor Ort haben wir festgestellt, dass es unzählige andere Möglichkeiten zum Übernachten gibt, die nicht in den Buchungsportalen in Europa erhältlich sind und wahrscheinlich direkt gebucht werden. Als wir die Wohnung buchten war das Angebot an Ferienwohnungen bei Fewo, airbnb oder booking recht übersichtlich. “

„We loved staying here at this cozy waterfront property. It was spacious and with a functional kitchen which was a plus! The location, although a bit away from Acadia, offered an escape from the busy-ness of Bar Harbor. The surroundings are serene with a lake just upfront. Overall a good experience. „I love this house! It was very clean, the location is beautiful, the decor and the rugs are amazing. The rooms and the furniture are so accommodating for a comfortable stay. „Gemütliches, gepflegtes und kreativ eingerichtetes Cottage. Ziele wie Deer Isle und Acadia National Park waren mit dem Auto gut und relativ schnell zu erreichen - die Hauptstrasse (Route 15/177) ist nur 5 Meter vom Haus entfernt. Auf den Geschirrspüler kann man leicht verzichten, da ohnehin nur eine genau auf die Anzahl der Gäste abgezählte Anzahl von Tellern zur Verfügung steht. Dass es kein Wifi gibt war vorher bekannt. Nur leider hatten wir auch keinen Empfang für unsere Smartphones.“
