This 5-bedroom, 4.5-bath townhome at Solara Resort gives 2,294 square feet to a group of up to 13, arranged so nobody has to wait their turn. Three bedrooms have a private bathroom, which is what keeps the morning of a park day moving. The other two belong to the children: one built around Mickey, with Mickey and Minnie silhouettes above the bunk and a Mickey-ear shelf lined with Disney figures; the other around Harry Potter, where the Hogwarts Express engine stands at the head of the beds and Hedwig watches from a hanging cage. Downstairs, the kitchen island seats four for cereal at 7am and the dining table seats ten for the one night everybody eats together. Upstairs, a second lounge with its own TV lets the kids keep watching while the adults take the living room back. Out on the screened deck, the pool and the sun loungers close the day without anyone getting back in the car, and the washer and dryer inside mean you pack light and fly home with clean clothes.

Solara Resort is built around a clubhouse with a full water complex: a FlowRider surf simulator (fee required), a zero-entry pool, a lazy river, water slides and a splash pad for the youngest. There is a bar by the pool, an ice cream parlor and a restaurant, plus a fitness center, a game room, basketball, volleyball and tennis courts and a full-size soccer field, all a short walk or golf cart ride from the house.

Solara Resort's shared amenities are also yours during the stay: the clubhouse with its zero-entry pool, lazy river, water slides, splash pad and FlowRider surf simulator (fee required), plus the fitness center, game room, restaurant, poolside bar, ice cream parlor, sports courts and soccer field. Parking is free for two vehicles.

Solara Resort is a gated community on Solara Boulevard in Kissimmee, 12 to 18 minutes by car from Walt Disney World. Universal Orlando is 25 to 35 minutes away, Orlando International Airport (MCO) 30 to 35 minutes, and a Walmart is 8 to 12 minutes out for groceries. Vineland Premium Outlets are 18 to 25 minutes. The community keeps a family atmosphere with controlled access, sidewalks lit at night and the clubhouse as its center, so kids can move between the pool, the courts and the house on their own.
The house sits on Carey Palms Circle, a few minutes from US-192 and Interstate 4, which connect to Disney, Universal, SeaWorld and the outlet malls without crossing the city. Free on-site parking covers two vehicles; additional cars pay a $25 fee per stay to the resort. Rideshare and rental car companies operate across the area, and a car is the practical way to reach the parks and the supermarkets.
