Helpful review for wheelchair users!

Pros FOR ANYONE *Great views from balcony *Great location *Condo was clean *Condo was exactly as depicted in pictures *Host was very easy to work with and responsive both prior to and during our stay Pros FOR WHEELCHAIR USERS: *Fast elevator access *Zero step entry to condo *Nice boardwalk to beach if you have a beach wheelchair *3 accessible parking spots Cons: FOR WHEELCHAIR USERS: *Condo was listed as “wheelchair accessible”. For anyone in a wheelchair looking to rent, please be advised the doorways to two of the bathrooms were not wide enough for a wheelchair to go through. The (second bedroom) bathroom was wide enough but the actual toilet and bathtub/shower combo were through a second door and there was not enough room for a wheelchair to get by the toilet to the tub. *Beds are extremely high for someone needing to transfer from a wheelchair. *Very difficult for someone in a wheelchair to use sinks. *The threshold out to the balcony is too high for someone to access the balcony in an electric chair. My husband is in a manual chair and was able to get on the balcony by popping a wheelie over the threshold. *Pool is listed as wheelchair accessible, but there is no lift. It’s a zero entry pool but for someone who cannot walk and doesn’t have a “water chair” that isn’t very helpful. Overall this is a nice place to stay for able-bodied individuals. The host gave us suggestions to try and accommodate the bathroom situation which was appreciated!

The unit was great but we had an issue with the clothes dryer. The owner did her very best to have it repaired. We had no trouble parking but in busier times I see that it would be hard. When we left today people were parked on the curbside. Overflow parking needs to be added at no charge to renters

We had such a great weekend…was too short though. This condo was well decorated and clean. We were close to everything…groceries, souvenirs, restaurants and ice cream. Beach staff was professional and helpful. The owner was very responsive and accommodating. We will book again…hopefully sooner rather than later.

Nice condo; parking is a problem

This condo is very nice, accommodates 10 guests, roomy enough for my family of 8 adults. They simply don't have enough parking spots available for the amount of units. Some people will have to leave their vehicles across the street at a hotel parking lot and pay extra for that. We were first advised to drive around the parking lot and wait for others to leave then take their spots; that is not my idea of a fun way to spend time on vacation. Although the owner allowed us to use her owner's parking spot for one of our vehicles, we still had difficulties finding a spot for the other vehicle. This building has 2 elevators, we were lucky that at all times at least one was working!

Parking was difficult

The condo is nicely decorated and roomy for the six of us. Great view of the beach and nice deck to sit and watch the waves come in. Nice new pool that the grandkids loved. When we arrived, we took off sandals and walked thru the condo and ended with dirty feet. The towels in the bathroom were not enough--2 bath towels, one hand towel and one face cloth per bathroom, and only one kitchen towel. Normally it is twice that amount whenever we have rented a condo before for a week. We contacted the owner and explained the dirty floor and the shortage of bath towels. She contacted the maintenance company but they never showed up--probably like everywhere else--not enough employees. The shower on the pier was broken. The complex needed to be clean regularly. There were a couple days where we only had one elevator. Cleaning around the elevators and hallways was somewhat neglected. The Parking at the complex is a BIG issue. There are not enough parking spaces this time of the year. Overflow parking was a parking lot about 1/4 mile away that cost each day. We we warned if we park at the Walmart across the street-our vehicle will be towed. A real inconvenience. There was actually a fight over a parking space where the police had to be called. This is the reason the condo receives only an OKAY rating. I would rent this place again in off-season, but not high season.

Due to COVID we had to cancel our first reservation…the property owner was so easy to work with that when we were able to book a family vacation I went back to the same VRBO listing. Good but...

CHECK FOR RENOVATIONS BEFORE BOOKING. I booked after ensuring that was an on-site, outdoor pool, only to find that when I arrived, it was closed for renovations. The beach access was also closed, so we had to walk to the main, busy road with our small children to get to a boardwalk to the beach. Our host was great and did her best to accommodate us and offset the lack of advertised amenities. The room, view, furniture, facilities, kitchen, bathrooms, etc. were all wonderful. Had the pool and beach access been open, this would have been a perfect 10.

Everything was great just bring towels and blankets

We really loved this property. We stay at the Enclave several times a year. This was our most favorite to date. The beds were comfortable, it was clean, it was easy to access even being on the top floor. It looks like it was recently updated and was very nice. My only complaint ( and it’s a small one that I wouldn’t have had if I would have known) is there aren’t many towels for how big the unit is and how many people it accommodates. I would recommend bringing extra. There are not any extra blankets and the bedding is comfortable but thin, so if anyone gets cold at night bring some extra blankets. There are plenty of extra pillows in most of the closets. The kitchen is very basic for easy meals not for someone that likes to cook a 3 course fine dining meal. HA! They have beach toys, a few chairs, and a tent which is something I really appreciated. This accommodated 6 teens, 2 adults, 1 baby so comfortably. My next statements are not about the unit it’s self but about the building- they are building a new pool - which means you should check to see when is will be up and running if that is something important to you (we don’t use the pool much)-and the construction has caused us to have to do a detour and access ramp that causes you to walk around the fence. It is not horrible, but not convenient either. If you have smaller children that are old enough to walk to the beach unsupervised, but not old enough to go across the street unaccompanied this can pose a problem. It’s dangerous when it is busy on the street and where you cross on to the ramp is so close to the street you need to be careful. The parking is often an issue but we had absolutely no problems this trip. The parking lot is small and if you leave you may not get one when coming back during a busier season. We would stay in this unit again no question!

Property was very easy to rent, very reasonable, and we all enjoyed our stay. All the people were very nice, staff and people who were renting. The only problem I had was the property does not have enough parking spaces. Other than that it was great.

Great view

We enjoyed our stay. The view was great and the condo was spacious. The only drawbacks were with The Enclave itself, not with the individual condo unit. One of the two elevators was out of order for the entire length of our stay. Being on the 10th floor, that was an issue as people were vying for their time on the elevator. But an even bigger problem was that The Enclave has fewer parking spaces than units. Therefore, not only were we competing for the elevator, we were also competing for a parking space. Several times, there were no spaces available. The Enclave's suggestion is to park in lot 4 MILES away!!! Not a great solution.
