Firstly, the staff were excellent—very helpful, accommodating, and attentive throughout our stay. However, given the price per night, the hotel needs to significantly improve its physical maintenance.
The television was no longer mounted on the wall and instead placed on a stand, leaving exposed unsightly electrical wiring. We were told this was due to new televisions being installed that no longer fit the existing frames. This raises concerns about decision-making and planning, as replacements should be compatible with the spaces provided. It make the room look untidy and not a pleasant place to stay.
Additionally, the soap holder had broken off the wall and was placed on the sink, not sure why this can’t be fixed. The hot tub cannot be filled independently and requires staff assistance, which was inconvenient. Mosquitoes in the lobby were also a constant issue.
There were no vegetarian options available on the dinner menu, only fish and meat, the Chef was able to provide pasta and chick peas as an alternative on one night. There was not lentil peas stew, kidney pea stew etc, there were mushrooms and baked beans available for breakfast.
Overall, we made the best of our stay, but the investors and owners should give serious consideration to improving the maintenance and upkeep of the physical property to better align with the price point and guest expectations
