„The house is, technically, as described but there are a few design issues that made it hard to use. The ladder, which is needed to access the loft, blocks the bathroom door. So if you have it in place for climbing, it has to be moved to open the loo door, then moved back to climb back up again. We have stayed in tiny houses before and found them easier to maneuver around. Which would be fine but at this price it should be somewhat more comfy. Caveat Emptor“

„Our group included three young people (ages 18-22) and all of us were incredibly impressed with the lodging itself - a whole charming house - and especially with the location, near the lovely town of Antigonish and very near to a fantastic 4 km long beach (Pomquet Beach) with seals, fir trees, spectacular sunsets, etc. We went in January - not a time in Nova Scotia for the timid - and the house was warm and cozy and the host had the driveway plowed for us as soon as we asked. „Great host! This two bedroom out building on a small farm is located 20 minutes from Antigonish is a fabulous find. Clean very comfortable furniture and beds. BBQ on deck. Great space for a family to stay while visiting ST FX university. “

„We needed a place to freeze some packs for medication and these hosts went above and beyond to help. They also provided us with fresh eggs and blueberries from their homestead. Place was clean and she had the radio playing when we came in. So sweet! The water was warm and clear for us and was so nice to wade in. Little disappointed about the 2-bedroom appartment

"We were on family trip (3 adults) staying two nights to visit Cap Breton. The Inn was chosen because of convenient location and good ratings. First, the two bedroom appartment is NOT part of the main building, but separate in the basement of a nearby one-family house. We arrived late in the dark after a long travel. Reception was closed, so we phoned owner and were given check-in details and a photo of the premises (which was of little use in the dark). But finally we found the appartment. When entering the appartment we were greeted by a an strong kitchen smell; if you like Indian curry, you might not be disturbed by this. We were. The heating in the bedrooms was switched off and no instruction could be found how to switch them on. So we slept in our cloths for the first night. When taking a seat at the kitchen table one of us nearly broke down because of the condition of the chair. We reported this next morning during breakfast (which was really good) and were asked to call the owner later to discuss. We did so and basically the solution was that the owner removed the chair and switched on the heating for us, so when we returned it was like a sauna. We finally figured out how to operate the heating ourself. As an overall experience, this is not what we expected. Probably we were too demanding, but we felt that the price would justify a decent level of comfort. So, while we can not judge on the other rooms, we would not recommed the two bedroom appartment. "

Saubere und günstige Unterkunft

"Das Zimmer war sehr sauber und gut eingerichtet (Fernseher, Kühlschrank, Mikrowelle, Toaster, Kaffeemaschine...). Man konnte am Vorabend ein sehr reichhaltiges Frühstück auswählen und zur gewünschten Zeit an der Rezeption abholen. Der Check In war im Internet möglich. Man bekam einen Zugangscode zugesendet."
