INTERACTION:
Guests enjoy easy self check-in using our smart lock. A unique door code will be provided on the day of check-in.

We’re low-key hosts and respect our guests’ privacy. During your stay, we generally assume you’re having a wonderful time when we don’t hear from you, giving you space to settle in and relax. If you have a question or need assistance, please message us through the booking app. We’re always happy to help.

A printed welcome guide is provided at the home with helpful information about Wi-Fi, The Binz, the hot tub, beach access, local recommendations, house instructions, and everything needed to enjoy your stay comfortably.



NEIGHBORHOOD:
Sea Salt Haven is centrally located in a peaceful Oak Island neighborhood with friendly neighbors, a relaxed coastal feel, and no through traffic. The home is less than one mile from the beach, groceries, restaurants, coffee, ice cream, and local shops. With The Binz, many of these destinations are just a two-minute ride away.

At the end of our short street, guests can access the sidewalk along the main road without having to cross it. Turn left to reach the scenic SE 31st Street walkover, one of our favorite routes for walking, biking, jogging, and capturing memorable Oak Island photos.

SE 40th Street, just six streets away, provides another convenient route to the beach and offers access for The Binz, bikes, and vehicles.

ACCESS:
Guests have access to the entire Sea Salt Haven property, including the indoor living spaces, porches, covered outdoor gathering area, screened hot tub, outdoor shower, grill, yard games, and guest amenities provided during their stay.

The Binz LSV is available to approved, registered guests who meet the driver requirements and complete the required waiver.

Guests may access the garage to use The Binz, bikes, beach chairs, wagon, umbrella, beach toys, and other guest equipment. The garage is not available for guest vehicle parking.

The only off-limits areas are locked owner storage spaces, including the owner’s storage room beneath the house and the locked owner’s bin in the primary bedroom walk-in closet. These areas remain locked and are not available for guest use.

SPACE:
We created Sea Salt Haven to be the kind of place we'd choose for our own family vacation: comfortable, welcoming, and thoughtfully equipped for making lasting memories together.

After a day at the beach, rinse off in the outdoor shower, relax in the private screened hot tub, gather beneath the house for dinner and games under the warm glow of timed string lights, or settle into the living room beside the indoor gas fireplace. The screened back porch is another favorite place to unwind, with comfortable seating, a ceiling fan, and, on many quiet evenings, the distant sound of the ocean.

INSIDE THE HOME

Sea Salt Haven features three bedrooms and two full bathrooms, comfortably accommodating up to seven registered guests.

Primary Bedroom

The spacious primary bedroom features a memory foam king bed, room-darkening curtains, Roku TV, ceiling fan, walk-in closet, dresser, luggage racks, bedside charging cords, and a dedicated workspace with high-speed Wi-Fi and a Wi-Fi printer.

Queen Bedroom

The queen bedroom offers a comfortable queen bed with extra blankets, room-darkening curtains, swivel Roku TV, ceiling fan, dresser, closet, luggage racks, and color-changing bedside sconces for a relaxing atmosphere.

Nautical Bunk Room

Perfect for kids or additional guests, the nautical bunk room includes a twin XL over queen bunk bed with memory foam mattresses, Roku TV, ceiling fan, room-darkening curtains, closet, and a selection of board games. A Pack 'n Play is also available for families traveling with little ones.

Bathrooms

Both full bathrooms feature tub and shower combinations and are stocked with towels, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, hair dryers, and thoughtful extras to make packing a little easier.

Kitchen

The bright, well-stocked kitchen is equipped for everything from morning coffee to family dinners and grilling nights. You'll find quality cookware, dishes, glassware, kid-friendly dinnerware, coffee makers, a toaster, blender, grilling tools, wine and martini glasses, a convection oven, and even a large crab pot for coastal seafood dinners.

Dining Area

The dining table seats up to seven and is the perfect place for meals, board games, conversation, and planning the next day's adventures.

Living Room

The open living room brings everyone together with a comfortable sofa, cozy accent chairs, coastal décor, ceiling fan, a 55-inch Fire TV, and an indoor gas fireplace for cooler evenings.

Laundry Room

A full-size washer and dryer are provided along with detergent, beach towels, hot tub towels, an iron and ironing board, first-aid kit, fire extinguisher, and a guest charging station with assorted charging cords.

OUTDOOR SPACES

Outdoor living is one of our favorite parts of Sea Salt Haven.

The covered gathering area beneath the home offers shade and protection from much of the weather, with dining space, comfortable seating, yard games, and timed string lights for relaxing evenings together.

The private screened hot tub lets you unwind throughout the year while helping keep bugs and much of the weather at bay.

Choose between the covered front porch with cushioned rocking chairs or the screened back porch for morning coffee, an afternoon book, or an evening glass of wine.

A Weber Spirit gas grill is conveniently located just steps from the kitchen, making outdoor meals easy.

The outdoor shower makes rinsing off after the beach quick and convenient, while a nearby clothesline is perfect for drying swimsuits and towels.

The garage houses The Binz, bikes, beach chairs, a beach wagon, umbrella, beach toys, and other guest equipment, making beach days simple from start to finish.

TRANSIT:
Oak Island is best reached by car. Guests will need a personal vehicle, rental car, or other transportation to reach the island and visit nearby towns and attractions. Wilmington International Airport (ILM), the closest major airport, is approximately a 50-minute drive from Sea Salt Haven.

Once at Sea Salt Haven, guests can get around much of Oak Island using The Binz, the provided bikes, walking, or their own vehicle. A personal vehicle is recommended for trips beyond the island, including visits to historic Southport and other nearby coastal destinations.

Southport Trolley may offer seasonal transportation between Southport and Oak Island. Guests interested in using the trolley should confirm current routes, pickup locations, fares, and operating hours directly with Southport Trolley before making plans.

*The Binz is available only to approved, registered guests. Drivers must be at least 23 years old, have a valid driver’s license, and complete the required recreational use waiver before driving.

SECURITY & PRIVACY

An exterior security camera is located beneath the house and monitors the driveway entrance and outdoor parking area. It does not view any indoor spaces.

A noise-monitoring device is located in the living room. It measures sound levels only and does not record or transmit conversations.

Sea Salt Haven is a no-pet, smoke-free property.
