This is a beautiful hotel set in a rural location, but not far from all amenities. We booked āThe playroomā room as it looked amazing on the website. It didnāt disappoint, looking exactly as per the photos. Absolutely spotless!! My only tiniest gripe would be that the toilet seat didnāt stay up, and the door to the room, being the original Victorian type, isnāt soundproofed, meaning you can hear everything that goes on outside and down the stairs, and they in turn, can hear you. Not that great if you want to play in the playroom. The staff are the friendliest and most helpful people Iāve ever came across in my vast hotel experiences. Nothing was any trouble at all. The āsnugā room has an honesty bar, should you fancy a tipple in the evening, It has books and dvds should you wish to take one to the room, as the TVs have built in DVD players. The full English breakfast is very tasty, albeit a tad small. You can, however, top up on fresh fruit etc which is readily available, along with the unlimited nespresso coffee and orange juice. All in all, most excellent, and would highly recommend.
