The property was quiet and spacious. We appreciated having our own parking space close to the front door. The check in details were straightforward. On the negative side, we were disappointed with the bathrooms. The en suite has a door with a clear glass window in it, covered by a sheer curtain. However, it is possible to be sitting on the toilet and seen by one’s beloved as they lie in bed with direct line of sight into the en-suite, especially when the light is on. I had to hang a piece of clothing over the window for privacy. It would not be difficult to fit an opaque curtain. The owners have asked guests not to spray water from the bath onto the floor to prevent it spreading through to the wooden floor in the bedroom. But the bath is very narrow and the water pressure is strong, There is no shower curtain or screen to prevent the water from splashing over onto the floor. The second bathroom is a wet room. The owners advise caution against getting towels, bath mat and loo paper wet. However, again the water pressure is very strong and the shower head sprays water everywhere no matter how careful you try to be. A different shower head with adjustable spray settings would have helped. As would a shower curtain or screen. Finally, there is a note above the toaster asking guests not to place the toaster beneath cupboards. Perhaps they didn’t notice the fly swatter hanging above the toaster, complete with dead flies stuck to it. Most off-putting. We didn’t use the toaster.
