„Where do I begin? We found black mold in the the basement laundry room, bed bugs in the top bedroom and mouse dropping in the dish washing packets under the sink. There was evidence of prior flooding in the basement rooms and part of the flooring was sinking and exposed. The place was filthy. I have no idea what the “cleaner” did. The bedding was wrinkly and dirty. There was excrement on the back of one of the pillow cases. The dishes and sink were dirty. There was a ballon that said “aged to ...

„Two old friends shared five days at this wonderful home, enjoying the full moon, the nightly fires, and the sunsets! We went into Galena each day for history browsing and great lunches (Bread and Vine was our favorite...) and one day drove north for a tour of Frank Lloyd Wright's Taliesin. But our favorite part of the stay was being in the house, surrounded by the natural beauty and rekindling our friendship.“

Some minor details would have improved our stay (for example extra sets of towels and items for the kitchen such as tin foil and storage containers). There was also a very slow drain in the bathroom on the first floor. Overall, we liked the house and the listing was accurate. “

„Beautiful home with amazing views! Lots of room and things to do in the area. Loved watching the horse riders walk on the trail behind the home. We didn’t end up using the fire pit but there was wood available if we had. Kitchen was well stocked. There were plenty of towels and linens. Beach towels were also available or for the hot tub. “
