„The property was seeped in history. We stayed in room 3, the Kings room. A lovely compact room, spotless with lovely little touches such as a great selection of tea, coffee and hot chocolate, a fresh little bottle of milk, a comfy bed, feather duvet, black out curtains, great shower and toiletries. „Ideal single apartment adjacent to a busy local in a wonderful St John’s Chapel, Weardale location..with very close proximity to the ‘top of the world’ (Noah’s View Point) Road across to Teesdale. Good pub food and a couple of real ales… Just what was needed after a long drive!“

„Mein Aufenthalt im Brunswick House war einer der besten, die ich je hatte. Das Zimmer war sehr sauber und voll ausgestattet, das Bett bequem und das Badezimmer perfekt gepflegt. Sehr hat mir auch die historische Atmosphäre im Hotel gefallen. Und trotz des hohen Alters ist das Hotel auf dem neuesten Stand der Dinge. „The staff, the food at both dinner and breakfast were excellent. Parking is just across a quiet road. Our room however left us literally cold. Old building, 'wavy' floors, single glazed casement windows facing the prevailing - brisk - wind and an outside temperature of close to freezing. Then the heating gets switched off for the night ! Considering that this was the most expensive 'one nighter' on our recent trip, we were less than satisfied.“

„Wasn’t aware until shortly before our visit that we’d booked during the Appleby Horse Fair so following a Police advisory, they weren’t selling alcohol. Which was a shame as I like to drink local brewery beer when away, but we were allowed to bring our own bottles. In all other respects, our stay was amazing!“
