„It is impossible to overstate the standard of the Wensleydale Heifer. The awards affirm the restaurant quality and the standard of accommodation. What they do not evidence is the attention to detail that every member of staff personifies. This is the first opportunity we have had to stay at the Heifer, although we have eaten here before. The hotel was everything we hoped for and will become our "go to" place in the Dales. Thank you for a memorable stay!“

„Food , drink and staff were really good. Room was very clean but very noisy could here people in next room even their conversation and our room was at the front so constant traffic noise , lots of lorry’s going by. The double bed in our room (4) was very uncomfortable could feel the springs so not much sleep. Breakfast was interesting bought to your room in a basket ! “

„Easy check in at the bar, our room was small but fine for us, the only thing lacking is a mini fridge. The hosts and locals are great, friendly and down to earth people. The food is excellent and they serve well kept beers at a reasonable price. I would definately reccomend this place and we will stay again. 👍🇬🇧 “

„Staff were kind and friendly. Food was good in the bar but over priced. My room was grubby, the bedding and bathroom were clean but there was dust and dirt on the ledges and windowsills. No shower gel in the bathroom either. I was also above the kitchen there was lots of banging about outside and a constant humming/droning from what sounded like extractor fans. This did stop around 9pm but then started up again at 10pm. It was really quite loud, I could still hear it when I had my headphones ...

„Sehr schön eingerichtetes Familienzimmer, sehr sauber und gemütlich. Durch die direkt vorbeigehende Hauptstrasse und das direkt unter den Zimmern gelegene Pub ist es allerdings etwas laut. Nicht geeignet für Ruhesuchende. Der Pub bietet gutes Essen zu moderaten Preisen.“

„It’s so hard to find the quintessential English pub these days but the shoulder of mutton hits the spot. The food was home cooked and great, not prepackaged Pub was clean, no damp or mould The view from the beer garden was amazing overlooking the valley The room was Pub basic but clean and not mouldy. „Comfy room, generous towels. Arrived late Friday evening, no bother getting a table in the pub downstairs for food- they don't take table reservations, so I wasn't at a disadvantage. Good wide choice on the menu and attentive service. There was a nightwatchman for after hours- what a treasure! He showed me how to access once the pub was closed, helped me empty the bags from the car and carried them to our room all with a friendly, nothing was too much trouble approach. A real asset to the Old ...
