Watergate Bay Beach is 250 metres away, where incoming Atlantic swell creates reliable conditions for surfing, kayaking, stand-up paddle boarding, and kite surfing – a surf school on the beach offers lessons in all four. The South West Coast Path passes through the bay, connecting to Newquay's beaches in one direction and Mawgan Porth in the other, with routes for both long rambles and shorter loops along the cliff tops. Beachfront restaurants and cafes sit above the sand, and surf competitions and music festivals run throughout the year, adding to the lively atmosphere.


The living spaces sit on the first floor, the four bedrooms on the ground floor – a split-level arrangement with the open-plan sitting and dining area up at balcony level, overlooking the coast. The living area is lined on one side by floor-to-ceiling glass doors that fold open onto the full-width balcony. Two velvet sofas and a pair of armchairs sit around a flame-effect electric fire, with a Smart TV and Blu-ray player alongside. The dining area seats up to ten, and the kitchen beyond is arranged around a central island. A cloakroom with WC and a separate laundry room sit off the hallway. On the ground floor, the first double bedroom has a super-king-size bed, Smart TV, desk, and patio doors to the patio, with an en-suite bathroom featuring a double shower enclosure, bath, and WC. A second double bedroom with super-king-size bed, Smart TV, and patio doors has an en-suite shower room with double shower enclosure and WC. Two further double bedrooms each have zip-and-link beds that can be configured as super-king-size doubles or twins, a pull-out single truckle bed, Smart TV, desk, and patio doors to the patio. These two bedrooms share a Jack and Jill en-suite bathroom with a freestanding double-ended bath, shower enclosure, and WC.
