Bright and Open 2 Bed 1 Bath (Dog Friendly) Apartment in Broadway Neighborhood

Wide open kitchen and living space makes this bright and airy two bedroom feel like a home away from home.

This is a dog friendly, second floor, two bedroom unit which boasts a fully stocked kitchen, dining room table which can seat six, a living room with a pullout sofa and gas fireplace. Both bedrooms are outfitted with queen size beds and TV's. The full size bathroom is equipped with a washer and dryer.

Located on the second floor, there is access to a shared charming brick patio.

While we want our guests to enjoy their privacy, we are also readily available for anything you might need, from extra towels to dinner recommendations. Just send us a message or give us a call.

Located in the more locally populated Broadway neighborhood, this pet friendly building is just a seven minute walk to Newport’s waterfront, although the neighborhood itself is home to many restaurants and coffee shops.


Windward Suites properties are all keyless, and instead use keypad smart locks for all of the doors for both the buildings and units. All guests will receive an email the morning of their arrival with the instructions, codes to the doors and Wifi. Super easy!

Check-in time is anytime after 3:00 p.m. Check-out time is 11:00 a.m. Please be respectful of these times unless you have contacted us, as we have a cleaning crew who need the time to do a thorough job before and after all of our guests.

Parking is on street parking. There are no meters and no residential parking sticker requirements which makes it easy to find spots.

Dr. Marcus is a three unit building consisting of two bedroom apartment style units, with one unit located per floor. Recently “freshened up,” each space is bright and clean with open concept floor plans. Each comes equipped with a full kitchen, washer and dryer, newly installed mini splits and access to a shared outdoor brick patio space.

Comfortable like home

We stayed with our elementary-school-aged son for a short visit to Newport, and were more than happy with the accommodations. The pictures are accurate, the apartment bright, modern, and homey, the couches and beds comfortable. We enjoyed the touches like the keurig, and a variety of books to read, and would happily return.

Everything about this apartment was great - the location is an easy walk into downtown and in a nice neighborhood with restaurants and a great coffee place a few doors down; easy to find free parking on the street; very spacious; beautifully decorated and maintained; very clean, quiet at night; excellent AC and ceiling fans; quality linens, bedding and bath prodicts; the code system to access the unit works well; 3 televisions; and nice kitchen and great sunlight. Recommendations for restaurants were good too! Would love to come back again. We had such a nice time in Newport and lucked out with perfect weather! Thank you!!

Girls vacation

A friend and I spent a week in Newport at this fabulous apartment. It was very clean, comfortable and well represented in the description. Having the restaurants so close on Broadway was great - easy to walk to those and downtown. I was worried that parking would be a problem but there was always a space right out front. If coming back to Newport we would definitely rent this unit again!

Great stay and good location

Perfect location, just far enough away from the busy section but close enough to walk to the main drag near the ward. Also very close to other neighbors bars and restaurants and the nitro coffee shop next door was great. We loved the ease of check-in and our little courtyard. The place was cozy, with the fireplace, clean and comfortable.

Fantastic mother daughter weekend

The apartment was literally perfect. We checked in late in the evening but the keyless locks made access easy. The apartment is immaculate and smells so inviting and clean. Very comfortable beds, kitchen well stocked and bathroom also was clean and had everything we needed. Extra thank you for the Keurig coffee cups! A definite plus. Parking on street was easy and everything is under 10 minutes away. Would recommend to anyone visiting Newport.

Quick getaway

Our family booked this apartment last minute. It was a great central location with easy access to shops and restaurants. The Nitro coffee spot 2 doors down was the best. The apartment was so cozy and beautifully furnished. It was a perfect home away from home. Hope to get back again soon.

Beautiful Property

We were very impressed with the quality of the furnishings and fittings at this condominium. It was spacious, very clean and tidy, and offered all of the amenities one could need. The property is centrally located to everything in Newport - It is one block off of Broadway and in walking distance of countless restaurants, bars, and shopping. It's 10 minutes to the water and a short drive to tour the mansions. This will be our go-to choice when visiting Newport, which we usually do several times a year.

Nice clean little place

Pros, Very clean, good location, had pretty much everything we needed. Cons A/C wouldn’t stay on. We had to contact someone to try to get it working. They got back to us very quick, asked to look at it while we were out, couldn’t fix the problem, said they would send someone the next day, unfortunately no one showed up or called. That is the only disappointing thing with our stay. Fortunately the weather was nice enough that the A/C was needed anymore. Would definitely stay again.
