Located in the heart of coveted Balboa Island, this home's newly remodeled modern interior, combined with a quaint seaside theme, makes it the perfect place for you and your family and guests to relax, reconnect, and recharge during your seaside interlude.


Colorful western sunsets and starlit skies will be the perfect backdrop for your evening’s activities, and during the day there are lots of fun things to do in Newport Beach with attractions focused on families, couples, being active, or trips of solitude. Outdoor enthusiasts will love miles of hiking and cycling trails, surfing, and sailing. A good selection of restaurants, coffee shops, and shopping are also nearby, so everything is easy.


This unique, newly remodeled three-bedroom, three-and-a-half-bath, 2000 sq. ft. two-story home, just blocks to the shops and restaurants, will confirm for you that Newport Beach is a tremendous place for your seaside vacation. The living room area has a large couch with a queen pullout sofa from which to enjoy a flatscreen TV and a fireplace. The dining area is next to the kitchen breakfast bar with high-top stools so it is easy for everyone to eat together. The kitchen is completely updated with stainless steel appliances and granite countertops and has everything you need to create meals and snacks for your crew. All you need do is add the food and the camaraderie and have fun.


The Cal-king primary bedroom is on the second floor and has an en-suite bath with a large walk-in shower. The first guest bedroom is also located on this floor and has a twin over full bunk bed with a twin trundle underneath and a walk-in closet. This room also includes an en-suite bath with a standing shower. The second guest bedroom – a queen – is on the first floor and also has a walk-in closet and en-suite bath with a standing shower. The first level also has a queen-size sofa bed. All bedrooms and bathrooms are furnished with premiere linens for your ultimate comfort.


Additional amenities include one garage parking space, free WiFi and cable, and a washer and dryer – all provided to make things more convenient. This location is so close to everything it will make you feel like you have entered a little slice of paradise for your vacation interlude. Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). I am used to dealing direct with property owners as opposed to management companies so the process was a bit different. We didn’t have trash instructions or a check-out process. We found the trash cans but couldn’t dump out trash as the cans were already full. There were just a few odds and ends that were different. Overall the property was amazing, no issues with parking and besides staining on carpets and furniture, it was very clean. We would definitely return.

EXCELLENT location!! Our family thoroughly enjoyed the quiet, peaceful atmosphere of the island. The garage is a nice option however we parked on the street in front of the house 90% of the time. The house does not have air condition (I failed to notice that when I booked) BUT, leaving the windows open, produced a comfortable climate. Love all the bathrooms. Would stay here again 100%!!

Definitely would not come back

We had problems the moment we arrived. Overall I’d say the house appears nicer online that it was in person. There were a few major issues that property manager tried to fix the day after we arrived. The first was the internet was down, and my husband had to miss crucial work meetings because the WiFi was down. The other major issue was the bunk bed ladder was screwed to the bed and therefore we could not use the pull out bed. Which was an issue because we had 4 kids that were supposed to stay in that room and could not. Additionally the rugs were dirty and we found a living cockroach in the washing machine when we went to use it. Overall I was very unhappy with our stay and after we left the company completely ignored my request for them to make it right.

Overall good

Great location, secure garage parking for one vehicle, overall comfortable home. Some signs of wear and tear (loose kitchen cabinet door hinge, clunky freezer door, worn floor mat), but everything was functional. Each bedroom had it's own bathroom, along with a common bathroom which was very convenient.

Alex, property manager was awesome. He quickly responded and tried to make things right. The house was not cleaned properly. Disgusting! Dirty rugs…TVs didn’t work..bathroom floors had someone’s else’s curly hairs. Makes me ill just to think about it. Alex did not charge us the cleaning fee which was nice. Again, no complaints about the property manager. He was very nice. Someone just needs to be a better host. Change the cleaning crew. AWFUL

Perfect Thanksgiving

Great location and home. We really enjoyed our stay very much. We made a Thanksgiving dinner in the kitchen (we did cheat and buy an already cooked turkey from Gelsons) but there was a big enough table and space to do it all. We would love to return.

Second time staying

We stayed at this property with family October 2021. This time was three girlfriends. Property is in a great location. It is comfortable and clean. There were a couple of things that were broken or damaged upon check in. There was a broken stemless wine glass on the shelf with the other wine glasses. And the two bottom drawers of the refrigerator were not usable because the guides were missing (actually were in the adjacent cabinet) and when I initially opened the fridge they almost fell out and would have landed on the floor. By the looks of the drawers, they might have already done that. My friend that stayed in the bunk room said the mattress needs to be replaced and there was significant water damage along the baseboard in the shower area. I grew up in Newport in the 60’s to the 80’s and love to visit and will return to Balboa Island.

DONT STAY HERE

Broken fridge (and false advertisement). Impossible to get a hold of property management. It ruined the first 24 hours of the trip. Very stressful. Lost value of hundreds of dollars in groceries that spoiled. Promised to compensate me, but have been giving me the run around since with no resolution. Spent hours on phone with their “call center” that’s not local and begging them to put me in contact with someone local or give me their number myself. They refused and after 45 min of arguing, was given to a supervisor or got a hold of the local team but still I couldn’t get the local contact info and had to be routed through their internal system each time I called, having to repeat the problem Furniture overwhelming smell of urine (dog pee?). And dog hair all over your clothes. Complained on first day, told they’d send cleaners, never came. Couldn’t enjoy the patio sectional sofa outside due to overwhelming smell of urine as well. The entire place is like putting lipstick on a pig. The pictures online make it look upgraded clean and beautiful. In reality, the fancy Viking fridge is old, even if working the drawers inside are all broken, dirty. Dog hair and pee noted above. Clogged bathroom sink. Dirty (like full of sand) Tupperware in cabinets. Very disappointed. I’ve rented houses on Balboa island many times as it’s a great staycation location, I will not only never book this one again, but STAY AWAY FROM ANY PROPERTY MANAGED BY VACASA.
