„My wife, dog and I stayed in the Parlour cottage at the end of August 2024. Please take note that they prefer cash or bankers transfer, Hotels.com does not take the money.
It is so relaxing and quite, this is down to the hands off way of the owners, Martin & Kate. We arrived and found a wonderful welcome pack waiting of Bread, milk, eggs and biscuits. The cottage is well equipped although some mobile service providers, (Vodafone) do not cover the area.

„The bed was super comfortable and the place was clean and tidy. The tv was not a smart tv as stated and the shower was very small , I’m glad neither of us were big people as it was tight to get between the shower and sink to use the toilet and there was no tv in the bedroom , we found on arrival a hot tub which I wish we knew about , unfortunately it was not the weather to use it. yes we would stay again despite the few little negative things . “

„Loved the Old Rectory, the building is quirky and massive, it housed the entire family with space to spare, this trip was for a 50th Birthday bash and we hosted a ‘murder mystery’ party halfway through our stay, the setting was perfect. Location, premises and host Comms were all excellent!“

„Location is great for the town and if you cant find any parking on the street there is a carpark about 5min walk away @ £3 - 24hrs.
Property is currently up for sale and needs a little work but the bathroom and kitchen are relatively new and everything else has had a lick of paint just needs a bit of modernising and the garden needs work and isnt secure at the back meaning the dog needed to be let out on a lead every time but did us for the short break we had.“

„We were welcomed into the house by Lucia, who after a short introduction left us to our own devices.The house is very well proportioned and equipped to accommodate a large party. There were 6 people and a dog and we had more than enough space to accommodate us all. „As a family of 5 along with another couple we wanted a get away near the sea with nearby walks and our wishes were granted, the bay was only a stones throw from the cottage and the coastal path walks straight from the cottage were stunning. „Location excellent. Grounds and gardens beautiful with plenty of wildlife.
Cottage quaint but in need of modernisation. Kitchen basic but needs new drawers as couldn't open many. Not much surface space to prepare food on. No where to keep supplies purchased other than work surfaces and fridge.
Shower was not great, needs to be attached to the wall. Could do with a proper electric one to be honest. Bathroom bin not emptied from previous occupier.
No wifi and phone signal not great. Not always a ...

„We stayed for a long weekend. Everything was as you would expect, nice and clean. On the Saturday night we realised we had no hot water, at 9:00 on the Sunday morning we phoned the number out of the information pack and immediately someone came round, she couldn’t fix it straight away and we were giving options of other properties available and we’re moved straight away. Very pleased with the customer service“

„Lovely tidy property, had all the mods and cons needed but the walls were a little thin and we could hear our nextdoor neighbours,
And they could probably hear us.
The hot tub was a selling point for us but unfortunately it wasn’t the cleanest and couldn’t use it for long. (2 evenings max).
Also, the bed was a little too short for my 6ft4 husband.“

"Wir waren sieben Tage in diesem Hotel und es hat uns sehr gut gefallen . Die Zimmer sind zwar klein , aber die Ausstattung ist den Räumlichkeiten entsprechen angenehm ausgestattet . Waren sehr zufrieden . Beim Fruhstück war alles vorhanden . Das Personal war sehr nett . Wir konnten sogar unseren Hund mit zum Fruhstück nehmen was wir als sehr schön fanden.. Wir wünschen dem Team des Hotels auch für die Zukunft ein gutes Händchen in der Betreuung ihrer Gäste ."
