First and foremost, the staff and reps in the chats, and customer service for this hotel/company was top tier. When someone was at the front desk, *which was surprisingly pretty often* they were lovely. Very helpful, and really sincerely friendly. That is the ONLY reason this wasn't a 1 star, wish-it-could-be-a-zero rating, is because of them. Unfortunately, this hotel will take a lot of time, money, construction, design, and cleaning to be the hotel represented in the photos. My room smelled like mildew, -addressed IMMEDIATELY by Steven, who had exhausted other options and initiated the cancellation of the remainder of my reservation, with a full refund, no penalties. (ty, Steven;). Also, the exterior of the window was filthy, and when I turned on the air, it fogged up.ew. It was like a hostel but one with a nice bathroom, tbh. I was saving this next bit for the scathing email that I'm ready to send when that refund hits. I'll put the abbreviated version here to qualify the sad, "poor" rating.. I was awakened at 2am, by a Sonder employee from a different location, pounding on my door like a lunatic. Yes, there is more to the story- obviously. I may have made a mistake, but at the end of the day, I'm still a guest in this... place. It's a New York "Aparthotel", I mean?!! You have NO idea what people are going thru. I was so embarrassed.
