„We camped at Freedom Farm and enjoyed the secluded woods setting for our tent. Everything was clean and well prepared for our stay, and the hosts were friendly and helpful. It is beautifully situated and is a short drive from some excellent hiking and biking in nearby state parks. I think a couple of things, though, could be improved. „Our family's stay at Helen and Richie's property for the holidays was perfect. Waking up to views of the lake every morning, watching flocks of birds travel on the water and being surrounded by nature was all we could ask for. The house has all amenities provided in the kitchen, bathrooms etc. Location is convenient near shops, grocery, and restaurants in New Fairfield. „The house on the lake is clean and very cute. A few things to keep in mind… The stairs to the loft are VERY steep and VERY narrow. So both adults and small children may struggle to get up and down, especially with any type of luggage. There are no closets or dressers for your clothes so maybe bring hangers and a hook for behind the door. Everything else was perfect. “

„The house was clean and nicely decorated. Had lots of things to do inside and out. Was slightly disappointed that the lake wasn’t closer. when looking on the pictures we didn’t notice that there was a main street between the house and the lake. It wasn’t easy for for some of the guests who get down the steep hill from the house to the street and then another sleep hill to the lake. As long as you know that going into the rental, you’ll be fine. “

„We stayed in early May, so didn't get to enjoy the lake, other than the serene view from the many windows in the house. Bird lovers will enjoy the many, many birds observable through the sliding glass doors and audible constantly. Beds were very comfortable. Kitchen was well-stocked with what we needed to cook our meals. We found plenty of places to hike. We found the description on vrbo a little confusing because the house next door was also pictured. We figured it out, though. “

„I was pleasantly surprised! The house looked even better in person than it did in the photos. It is warm and comfortable and they had everything we needed to enjoy our time away.
