Steps to Endymion and Zulu Parades during Mardi Gras!
North of the noise and saturated color of the Quarter is a New Orleans neighborhood that’s perfected the art of living. “Welcome to Mid-City,” read the signs on the neutral ground. And that’s truth in advertising. It’s the kind of place where your auto mechanic invites you to a crawfish boil and a total stranger may buy you a drink at an Irish pub or a cannoli at an Italian bakery. Take the red streetcar line up Canal to the Cemeteries (Mid-City’s dead neighbors are as interesting as the live ones) or bike the new 2.6-mile-long Lafitte Greenway that stretches from Basin Street to Carrollton Avenue and, conveniently, past a po’ boy shop or two – or 17 – with a sno-ball shop and a micro-brewery thrown in for good measure. Buttermilk biscuits. Live music. A bowl of Vietnamese pho. Who wouldn’t want to visit? Eat. Drink. Get up here. This home is ideally located within close proximity to numerous New Orleans landmarks including Jackson Square (1.5 Miles), Caesars Superdome/Smoothie King Center (0.9 Miles), The National WWII Museum (2.8 Miles), and the famous Lafayette Cemetery No. 1 (3.0 Miles).
If you have any questions about the neighborhood, please send us a message!
You’ll have exclusive access to the entire first floor of the duplex, including:
• Living room
• Full kitchen
• 3 bedrooms
• 2 full bathrooms
• Laundry area
Please note: The upstairs unit is occupied by long-term residents, but your level is completely private.
Mid-City has a rhythm all its own — neighborhood bars, corner groceries, the rumble of the streetcar on Canal — and this three-bedroom home puts you right in the middle of it. A first-floor private unit in a classic New Orleans duplex, the space is thoughtfully set up for groups who want a real base to come home to after long days exploring the city.
The living space
The bright living room is the natural gathering spot, anchored by a 45-inch HDTV with Netflix and access to your own streaming apps. A dedicated workspace with a door gives you a quiet corner if you need it, and fast Wi-Fi keeps everyone connected. Central air conditioning and ceiling fans keep things comfortable year-round, and room-darkening shades let you sleep in after a late night in the Quarter.
Sleeping arrangements
Three bedrooms sleep up to six guests across three beds. Bed linens, towels, and essentials are provided. Clothing storage, hangers, and an iron round out the practical touches that make a longer stay feel effortless — long-term stays of 28 days or more are welcome.
Kitchen & dining
The kitchen is fully equipped for everything from a quick morning coffee to a proper sit-down meal. You'll find a refrigerator, freezer, electric stove, oven, microwave, dishwasher, and coffee maker, along with cooking basics, dishes, silverware, wine glasses, and a baking sheet. Whether you're recreating a meal you had at a local spot or cooking from scratch, the setup is here for it.
Bathrooms
Two full bathrooms mean no queuing up in the morning. Both are stocked with shampoo, conditioner, body soap, shower gel, a hair dryer, and cleaning products. One bathroom includes a bathtub for a longer soak when the day calls for it.
Extras that matter
A washer and dryer in the unit handle laundry without a trip to the laundromat. A patio or balcony gives you an outdoor spot to sit. Self check-in via smart lock means a smooth arrival on your own schedule. Free street parking is available, and the home is single-level with no interior stairs. A pack 'n play and folding high chair are available upon request for families traveling with little ones, along with babysitter recommendations if you need a night out. Exterior security cameras are present on the property.
The neighborhood
Mid-City sits just 0.9 miles from the Superdome and Smoothie King Center, making it an ideal base for game days, concerts, and events. The Canal Street streetcar stop is steps away, putting the French Quarter, Downtown, and the City of the Dead cemeteries within easy reach. The Lafitte Greenway - a 2.6-mile trail stretching from Basin Street to Carrollton Avenue - runs right through the neighborhood and connects you to local cafés, a micro-brewery, and more than a few po' boy shops along the way. Ruby Slipper Café is a short walk for a proper New Orleans brunch. Jackson Square is 1.5 miles out, the National WWII Museum 2.8 miles, and Lafayette Cemetery No. 1 about 3 miles - the VA and UMC hospitals are also close by. Come Mardi Gras season, the home sits steps from the Endymion and Zulu parade routes.
Please note: No parties, no unregistered guests, and no smoking. Any attempt to host a party of any kind will result in immediate termination of the stay with no refund.
