Welcome to The Gilded Blue, an elegantly styled New Orleans retreat designed for guests who appreciate beautiful surroundings and comfortable living.
Rich blue walls, gilded mirrors, botanical accents, and warm hardwood floors give the home its distinctive personality. Inspired by timeless elegance, the interiors offer a romantic atmosphere with modern conveniences.

Living Room:
Relax among plush sofas, a velvet accent chair, and thoughtfully selected decor. Large windows and French doors bring natural light into the space, creating a welcoming setting for quiet mornings or evenings after exploring the city.

Bedroom:
The inviting bedroom features a gold-accented bed frame, calming blue tones, comfortable bedding, and a television.

Kitchen and Dining:
Prepare meals in the full kitchen, equipped with a stove, refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker, and essential cookware. A small dining area provides a convenient place to enjoy meals.

Bathroom:
The beautifully styled bathroom features botanical wallpaper, an ornate gold mirror, a modern vanity, and a walk-in shower.

Guests enjoy exclusive access to the upstairs rental accommodation, including the bedroom, bathroom, living room, kitchen, and dining area.
The accommodation also features a private balcony reserved exclusively for upstairs guests. Enjoy a morning coffee or a quiet moment outdoors in your own designated space.
Please note that the rental is located upstairs and requires climbing stairs to access. Other occupants may be present elsewhere in the building, but the upstairs rental and its balcony are reserved for your exclusive use.

● Parking: Free public street parking is available in the surrounding neighborhood on a first-come, first-served basis. There is no private driveway or reserved parking space for this rental. Availability is not guaranteed, particularly during evenings and major local events.
● Upstairs Accommodation: The rental is located upstairs and requires climbing stairs to enter. Guests with mobility concerns should consider this before booking.
● Private Balcony: The balcony is exclusively available to guests staying in the upstairs rental. Please note that it is a compact outdoor sitting area rather than a large terrace.
● Residential Setting: The accommodation is located in a residential New Orleans neighborhood. Guests may occasionally experience normal neighborhood activity and street noise.
● Normal check-in time is 3 pm on the arrival date. Check-ins before 12 pm would require booking the previous night at a discounted rate. Contact the host for details
● We require a separate Rental Agreement to be e-signed following your booking! Please review the house rules located in the rental agreement prior to booking.
● Please note that this home is a duplex, and what is on offer is the top unit.
Street parking cannot be guaranteed, and when utilizing street parking, please make sure to adhere to city and state laws.
● Our space is not handicapped accessible or ADA compliant.

◉ Getting Around
The Gilded Blue is located in New Orleans` Mid-City neighborhood, offering a convenient starting point for exploring the city`s restaurants, music, architecture, and cultural attractions.
Rideshare services and driving are practical ways to explore the surrounding area. Guests should check current public transportation routes and schedules when planning their travels.
Free public street parking is available nearby on a first-come, first-served basis. No private or reserved parking is provided.
House Rules: 1. We are legally limited to the posted maximum occupancy by local law. For all guests over the maximum limit there will be a $100 per person per night fine. Parties of any kind are illegal per local law. Any guest holding a party will be fined $1,500 for non-compliance with local laws. Exterior cameras with active recording is present at the property to verify these laws are not broken.
2. The booking guest must send a copy of a government issued ID upon booking.
3. Quiet hours 10PM - 8AM. Please remain cognizant and respectful of our neighbors.
4. If you would like early check-in or late checkout, please inquire the day before your stay, and we will let you know if it is possible. Unauthorized Late checkouts are a $100 charge for each hour after 11am. If the space is still occupied after this time without a prearranged late checkout, our team will need to enter the property to assist with removing your belongings. If you are not at the property, our our team will gather your items and store them at our office and there will be a $200 fee to retrieve them.
5. Smoking in the unit will result in a $500 Fee to remove the smoke odor from the unit and all upholstery. If the space is left excessively dirty $100 will be charged for each additional hour of cleaning required. Removal of bodily fluids including feces will result in a charge of $250. Glitter cleanup will result in a charge of $500. Do not hang or attach anything to the walls with push pins, tape, etc. or other painted surfaces. Please use our black makeup towels to remove makeup to avoid damaging white linens/towels. 6. Due to local regulations and Airbnb policy prohibiting parties, `Locals` will be required to pay a $250 refundable deposit for their stay. Locals is meant to include anyone residing within 50 miles of New Orleans.
7. Please do not ship packages to yourself as we are not able to receive them at the unit and therefore cannot be responsible for them. We will not be responsible for them in the event they get lost, and will not be responsible for returning them if they are found after your departure.
8. For any items left behind, there will be a $25 fee plus the actual cost of shipping to have it shipped back to you.
9. There is a 500$ minimum fee for commercial photography and filming on the property. Certificates of Insurance for all vendors must also be submitted.
10. While pets are allowed at this listing, they are limited to 3 pets max. unless authorized prior to booking. Pets must be kenneled when left alone if they are not house trained, but should not disturb neighbors. Guests must clean up after pets outside. Pets should not be allowed on beds or furniture.
